So my parents and I are highly disappointed. We went in 2 days ago for lunch...the waitress didn't hear me properly and just... took an item out when all I wanted was an ingredient taken out. Dinner for 8. A LOT of food. Nice atmosphere. The round table and the glass table piece made it a wonderful family affair.
I am a native Chinese and would like to point out of the problems with their dishes. I am not really sure if they are fast food... style or just a regular one based on their operating philosophy. Nevertheless, their foods are hard to swallow. The Kung PaoChicken I ordered has nothing to do the original recipe. They can't just fool me with the sweet sour chicken. Well, everythinghere is sweet sour.... like as if the authenticity of the ingredients do not matter. It's not too late to change your menu andrecipe for the dish and hire a knowledgeable chef. If you guys think this is good Chinese food, you guys clearly haven?t eaten outside of Kamloops before. The only decent thing... was their beef and broccoli - their corn soup was okay but they had huge chunks of chicken pieces in there. That?s not how youmake it ???? I ordered a combo for 1 and dinner was good but it was delivered cold. More noodle than the almond chicken. I really liked the... beef vegetables. So next time, I hope I get it hot. Read more
You have to be really specific when ordering anything at any of these outlets. For the most part, we have had great results with... the ginger beef and anything with the black bean sauce. The dumplings are good too, but never order any chow neon dish. Justreally weird, bland and the chicken one had boiled meat! Yuck. The service is friendly, efficient and the portions big enoughfor more than one meal, and for that price, fair. We have 4 ?Chinese? restaurants nearby in Salmon Arm but none can match theMoon Woks and whenever we drive to Kamloops we eat there or get take-aways. Only recently did we get a sub-par meal from them,so it really is hot and miss. Read more
