Reviews for C-Lovers Fish & Chips in Kamloops, BC
Certain that this is the cleanest restaurant in town. Staff are friendly and warm, service is quick, food is always very fresh,... generously portioned and piping hot. I think this may be the best franchise branch of a large chain restaurant I have ever beento. If you?re wanting to go when it?s not crowded, try going for dinner on a Sunday. If you don?t like coleslaw order thesmaller appetites menu, it?s the same meal just without the coleslaw and it?s a little cheaper. (Though their coleslaw isdelicious if you?re a coleslaw lover like me!). Amazed by how clean the backsplash behind the fryer is. I?ve both cooked aneaten in 5 star restaurants that weren?t that clean. Way to go team! Read more
Best fish and chips in town by far. A nice, flakey batter, not too greasy and deep fried to golden crisp perfection. Of course... accompanied with a lightly dressed coleslaw and don't forget a beer or two. We went here for my birthday dinner and it couldn'thave been any better. I highly recommend c-lovers fish & chips, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. And yes they are set up todo take-out orders as well. Read more
Service was great, waitress was very friendly and caring about my 2 year old son. The food was delicious. The chips were golden... and perfectly crunchy, could tell they have a clean deep fryer. The fish was amazing, it wasn't all batter like you get at someplaces. Will definitely return. Read more
Went for dinner. Everything was fine until one of the people in our party found a large wad of chewed chewing gum in their... mouth which came from the coleslaw salad. The waitress was very apologetic but the manager refused to come see us. Thankfullythe meal was covered but don?t think we will be back. Read more
The food & drinks were great. The resturant was really clean & well looked after. Same for the bathroom. Prices were also very... reasonable. Felt a bit judged by the staff by the staff for being a big guy getting the all you can eat fish n chips then theylooked like they felt bad when I tipped well anyways. Overall a positive experience. I would reccomend. Lots of old people seemto like going there. Read more
Great place for all-you-can-eat fish (pollock) and chips. The battered fish was piping hot and fresh, with a nice crispy... outside. The fries could be a bit crispier. Other specific kinda of fish (halibut, cod, etc...) are also available as regulardishes. The restaurant also has bottomless soft drinks. Overall it was very clean and a good place for a late lunch as itwasn't too busy. Wait staff were very cordial and made for a positive experience. Read more
Absolutely delicious. Not always a huge fish and chips fan but this absolutely won me over. I ordered the 2 pc. halibut meal and... it was hot, crispy, and very flavorful. Great portions. Definitely coming back. Read more
My fiance and myself recently had our first experience with this restaurant. I had a large caesar salad. It was very good and... large enough even for a big eater like myself. My fiance had fish (Cod) and chips which she enjoyed very much. The service wasexcellent. The staff are very friendly, polite and attentive. They make sure you are looked after while you are there. We wereboth really quite pleased with the service and the food. I would however like to discuss another point upon which the staffexcelled. My fiance has a service dog. As we are about town together with the dog a lot, we encounter all manner of adversityfrom people who can see quite clearly that she is not blind. Often people make uneducated ASSUMPTIONS aboout this fact and cometo the erroneous conclusion that he is a therapy dog, or just plain fake. The TRUTH of the matter is, her service dog is MOREcritical to her than a seeing-eye dog is to many blind people. I have known a few blind people (also dated one years ago) Theyget around better with their dogs but, they are usually quite skilled at getting around with a cane as well. My fiance has afaulty vagus nerve which is located at the base of the brain and extends down into the body. It is responsible for regulatingautonomous body functions like heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature as well as many other functions. Most people whenthey get scared, will experience increased heart rate and get a shot of adrenaline. Her Vagus nerve often gets things backwardand for example, her heart rate may go down instead. Various other issues can occur during an episode as well. For example, ifshe gets too hot such as on a hot summer day, she can pass out. Sometimes when this happens, she also stops breathing. Theservice dog is able to smell changes in her blood that signal upcoming episodic events as much as 45 minutes in advance whichcan often mean avoiding the episode altogether. (He will often sit or lay on her to keep her still and calm Read more
