Reviews for Split Rock Restaurant in Bigfork, MT
We were in the area to do some hiking with our dog and stopped in for lunch. The meal was delicious the server was very friendly... and professional. It was our first dining experience with our dog and it was a very pleasant first experience. We sat outside atthe tables. Definitely recommend. Read more
Certainly a great surprise in a strip mall on the highway. For what it lacks in ambiance, they more than make up for in quality... of food. My prime rib sandwich and my wife's wrap were outstanding! They have a full bar, open kitchen that is clean as awhistle and the service was great. Definitely will stop by again next time I am in Big Fork. Read more
Amazing local food at all times, friendly staff and food is made quickly, I have ordered from all menus and will say that for... breakfast, if you are looking for a sweet thing the ultimate toast crunch is very satisfying, the 2nd street burrito is good, filling, and the hollandaise sauce is well made in comparison to other cafes, just don't get the breakfast sandwich as it isn'tflavorful or well proportioned. Coffee was nothing special but wasn't bad. Their benedicts and omelettes are great, you reallycan't go wrong. For the lunch and dinner menu, the western burger is (in my opinion) the best burger if you like/ are ok withBleu cheese, the steak sandwich is mediocre, chicken and bacon Mac is amazing, chicken Caesar is amazing, the Cajun fries aregreat, the southwestern wrap is great for something fresh, overall it is hard to go wrong with the dishes at this place. Greatfood for the soul and best burgers in town. Read more
Wasn't terrible, but wasn't great. It was good. I got the split breakfast and my husband got the ultimate crunch breakfast. On... mine there wasn't a ton of gravy so the biscuits were a little dry and the hasbrowns were so crunchy I couldn't cut it with myfork. My husband's was thickkk. It wasn't as much cinnamon flavor as you would expect so it was okay. Read more
Was super excited to come to the new split rock cafe location. Having been a regular in their kalispell location for over 12... years, I had high expectations. Unfortunately the breakfast I had with my mom on a girls morning was disappointing. I know ithas been a tough summer in the Flathead and we have seen the highest numbers in tourists visiting the area, but it took morethan 45 minutes to get breakfast for two. Service was sub par, server openly said she was having a bad day and will try to makeit through when I asked her how her day was going. When food was finally served everything was cold. Really hoping service andfood will improve. Miss the old Split Rock. Read more
This was not JUST good, this was EXCEPTIONAL. I don't think I have had a meal before (where I ordered app, salad, main course,... and dessert) and had EVERY-SINGLE-THING be so outrageously delicious! I am currently stuffed beyond belief because I couldn'tSTOP. And to top it all off, the wait-staff (Avery-host and Sam-server) were just SOOOO nice. It was the dream diningexperience. Like, WHAT!?!? WOW, just wow. Read more
I like everything about this place. Open for all 3 meals?.rare. The bacon wrapped dates are a must try. The salmon salad was so... very fresh. The staff is well trained and in appropriate numbers. One small caveat?.the potato Irish stew dish comes so veryhot because it?s cooked in a cup-ish dish that it will be 10 minutes before it?s cool enough to enjoy. It?s tremendous but yougotta let it cool. Can?t wait to try this place for lunch and bfast. Read more
Two stars is generous. I loved Split Rock when it was in Kalispell. I tried it out here in Bigfork yesterday for breakfast.... What a disappointment ... and as my husband said "they better get their act together or they won't be around for long". It wasnot relatively busy -- service was slow and server was not very pleasant (yet quick to look at her tip before we left). Thebreakfast sandwich was greasy and the pittance of hash browns (and I mean about 1/3 cup) was also greasy, overly crispy (no softpotato at all), and tasted more like crumbled potato chips. Read more
