Staff was amazingly happy and friendly! Ten years ago famous Dave's food was much better now it just seems like it could be made... in a cafeteria. I was not expressed with the quality or the pricing. Job well done for cleanliness and handicap accessiblerestrooms! Don't try the brisket. The ribs were tasty though. Read more
I wanted a memorable dinner for my birthday and I had one! Although the main seating area was closed, after a short wait, floor... manager invited me to sit at the bar where I was welcomed by the front of house staff.. despite having been short staffed thisseason, amidst other dramas of the keg cooler variety, the atmosphere was welcoming and downright cozy and the service waseverything I would have hoped for!! My bartender (SHOUTOUT TO MEGAN!!???????????) made sure I had everything I needed! Andalthough the restaurant had faced a busy Sunday service she made the night by taking my order with super relaxed and warm andconversational and super composed service! Thank you!! My food order came out so fast and the ribs were awesome and along withthe Mac and cheese they really stood out. The ribs were hot an delicious, but little too fatty and small. The sides didn't look that appetizing and we small, but tasted... pretty good. The corn muffin was super moist and yummy! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful! The bread pudding withvanilla bean ice cream was AMAZING! The prices were not cheap, so plan on paying at least $20 per person. Read more
Ribs weren?t bad, but the brisket was dry. C+ from the health inspector posted at the front door was a turnoff. We ordered a... few items, following the recommendation I got the ribs and the texas beef brisket combo with fries and coleslaw as sides. Theribs were good, not the best but good. The brisket however was dry and didn?t look appetizing. The other combo we had wasbrisket with chicken, same issue with the brisket, but the chicken was good. Portion wise the two meet combo is good for anadult. Our friends got the single item sandwich that comes with one side and they said they weren?t full. The restaurant has acool decor though. This was our first time at Famous Dave's. We were met by a young lady with an, "I don't care attitude." She sat us in front of... the door so I asked if we could sit at another table because it was so cold. She said. "No, I have to alternate," then she justwalked away. I looked around and there were plenty of seats available so she could have sat us in another spot if she would havebeen kind enough to do so. Our waiter was a young man who was everywhere except at our table. It took him about 10 minutes tocome over and take our order. Then it took about 20 minutes to get our food that was delivered to our table by some otheremployee who didn't get all the information for our order so we had to wave our waiter down for our drinks, twice (he forgotafter the first request) and our condiments that we requested with our meal. Then my hamburger that I ordered "WELL DONE" cameto me medium rare. I would have told our waiter but I couldn't find him and everyone else was running around doing their owntables. So, I ate the edges of my burger and my fries. When our waiter finally came around to give us our check I told him aboutmy burger and he said with a snotty tone, "Well I wish you would have told me sooner". His tone made me angry so I chose not toreply to his comment because I would have been very rude to him. He never came to our table to ask us how our meal was or if weneeded anything or to refill our drinks. He was an absent waiter with a bad attitude. Our ticket showed that he gave us "FREEDRINKS" (just iced teas) to make up for the burger (I am assuming) that I could hardly eat but he should have refunded my wholemeal instead. That's what a good waiter would have done. Both people represented Famous Dave's in a very poor light. Iunderstand times are tough and things are different then 2 years ago but there was NO reason for them to be as unprofessional asthey were. We left giving NO tip and choosing to never return. The restaurant was really nice and well maintained in terms of cleanliness. The POS systems were out of date and didn?t have the... rewards system in place when my party and I went to check out. None of the employees knew what I was referencing (which wasworrisome. The server and manager had to talk with their IT person who knew what I was referencing. I was informed that it wasin progress but this place hadn?t had their systems replaced or updated in 10+ years. ???? That aside, the food was good andthe server staff was attentive. The only thing that was a little weird to my group and I was the portions of the food. We areused to larger portions and even our muffin was really small. Outside of the normal that we are used to. When I inquired aboutit we were told that they are training new staff and they haven?t learned the proper portioning for the restaurant. A bitsurprised that they would serve it knowing it doesn?t meet brand standards. Outside patio area was generous for larger groupsas well. Read more
