Reviews for Water Street Coffee Joint (Sprinkle) in Kalamazoo, MI
The food and drinks were pretty good a bit overpriced in my opinion and portions were small. The reason they lost 2 stars is... because of the inneficient process of ordering. We originally tried to order online , but we couldn't because they don't allowlarge orders online... I would imagine making a large order online makes more sense then in person, plus we only had like 10items and 1 of them was a doggy treat. So I called in and tried to place the order over the phone like the website prompted meto do. The person that helped me said I had to come in person to order. So I show up to order and find out it is drive throughonly. Finally got to order and the drink I wanted was not available. A lot of work just to get a quick breakfast, not the bestexperience. The disposable coffee cups look cool but they leak really bad and the lids don't fit over the seam. I've been coming here for... years and that's the only problem I've ever had. The coffee is fantastic. The workers are super nice and helpful. I recommendthis place and all the other WSCJ locations. Read more

Both of the young ladies working were incredible especially considering I had just broke my final drive belt on my harley and... was sitting near the road waiting on a ride. They both at separate times inquired if was OK or needing any help and the one evenbought me a coffee since she was worried that I might be cold. Thanks ladies you both are awesome. Read more
I went through the drive thru on 8/29 around 9:15am. I ordered my coffee which cost around $8. Expensive as this was, I was... promptly asked for a tip when handing my card to the gentleman at the window. I thought to myself ?for what? Making my coffeethat?s already outrageously priced and getting paid to do it??, but I was so thrown off by being asked for the tip that Iactually AGREED! I felt very rushed and pushed into providing a tip, when I thought the tip jar was there for just that. I haveno issues providing someone a tip when they provide me service outside of their regular job, but what the heck?! Read more
Let me start by saying that I already know that this company has built quite an empire. I have a feeling that I will get an... automated-sounding response to this review advising me to "escalate" my concern by composing an email. I know that ultimately Iwon't be listened to, but even so, I'd be happy just getting a gift card. Why? Because even though I am consistentlyunderwhelmed by the quality of the food, I still frequent the place. I can't complain about the coffee and espresso. It gives mejitters, but it is almost always quite delicious. As for the scones, I keep buying them because I keep hoping they will be thewonderfully textured, fully baked, not-too-sweet treat I used to love so much. Now, whenever I purchase them, I instantly regretspending nearly 5 dollars on what looks and tastes like a sad and doughy cake. But I still buy them. I visit the Sprinkle Roadlocation a lot as it is convenient for me. Starting with this past year or so, I began noticing an annoying trend. Without mybeing asked, the scones I was ordering were being heated up. I speculated that this may be related somehow to how underbakedthey have become. Surely not every other patron wants a heated scone? Even if that is the case, I still felt as though I shouldhave the choice to purchase my scone unheated. So going forward when visiting the Sprinkle Road location, I simply began tospecify that I did not want my scone heated. I was still disappointed every time by the scone itself, but I accepted thesituation. Until yesterday. I went up to the drive thru, ordered a maple pecan scone, and stated that I did not want it warmedup. At which point, the employee provided me with a bit of information. Something that would change my mind about Water Streetforever. She explained that the scones were FROZEN. Therefore, the scone would need to be warmed up. Otherwise, it would "takehours" to thaw. Yes, she said hours. Perhaps she had made a mistake by describing this to a customer. Perha Read more
