Wow! Didn?t know what to expect!! This place is great! Food is fantastic! Soooo taste! Mac and cheese is great! The sweet... potato fries were the best I have ever had! I have never had sweet potato fries almost melt in your mouth!! Reallyunbelievable!! ???????? staff is friendly and helpful! I will be back! Party atmosphere! Pretty loud, if you want a quietplace, probably don?t want to go here, but it is a fun hangout, with great food! 10 stars!! I didn?t even know food could bemade this good!! I went to eat here at lunch on my next visit and it was not as loud! They do not seem to have lunch portions!it would be nice to have a lunch option with price a little bit cheaper for lunch! I have to be honest, I don?t know what I expected, but it wasn?t this. The branding is on point. The place is very hip and... modern on the inside, but that?s about all I can say that?s nice. Like everything in Hawaii, we found it to be super expensive.When the food arrived, it looked good, but the chicken tender batter was horrible. It was very thick and they fried it tooquickly at too high of a temperature. It made for a dry tender and an unpleasantly crunchy and hard exterior. It just wasn?tgood. Mac and cheese was ok. We are so glad we discovered Willie?s Hot Chicken! Having lived in Nashville we are always excited about trying hot chicken in... other places. Of course no one ever does it quite as well as Nashville does but I will say Willie?s surprisingly is up to par!Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Great chicken, local beers, chill friendly staff, lots of locals. We stopped here after doing the Kona Brewing brewery tour. We... got a quarter (leg) and some tenders. Great food, chicken hit the spot, served with white bread to soak up that grease, and aside (we got potato salad, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and then for fun we got extra pickles). Super yummy and filling. Staff wereall very friendly and warm - happy to recommend their favorites. I gotta say, great surprise. Was actually waiting for Umekes to open and just wandered over. Very friendly staff invited me to... take a look. Brah! Nice cozy bar, good draft selections, big screens, pretty interesting menu. Now the food, pretty dang goodchix. I got the sweet Hawaiian sauce too. Really different but good. I'd say it rivals the new Korean BBQ place that sellssandwiches and plates on Oahu, but in a different way. They're actually both good. But the friendly staff, that's what drew mein. It wasn?t our plan to go here but we?re happy we did. The girl in front was friendly and helpful. They recommended the tenders... to me which was an excellent choice! I don?t care for too much heat so they suggested the Sweet Hawaiian. You also get to choosea sauce so I wanted to try the Honey Butter. My other half chose the thigh and the hottest level - Like Lava. When theydelivered our food, the Honey Butter was still hard so they offered me another sauce - I chose the Honey Mustard (I got to keepthe Honey Butter which I?ve used on my bread! Yum!) Everything was good! The tenders were very high and quality; was notprocessed. I also chose the potato salad (with egg and bacon) for my side. He really enjoyed his birthday meal as well.
