ULU is basically the nicest place you?ll find to eat on the big island in Hawaii. Highly recommended and extremely classy. Great dining experience. My wife loves sushi so this place was recommended by all the locals it didn't disappoint. She's... very used to imitation crab and has a new found love when real crab is used. Both drinks we ordered were amazing. They weresome of the best drinks we've ever experienced. I ordered the chicken which was cooked perfectly, was full of flavor and moistwhich is sometimes hard to come by, paid perfectly with leeks and potatoes. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. This restaurant is magically located on the beach in The four seasons resort at Hualalai. The... views alone warrant a five star rating. The only slight negative was that there was a very large party next to us orderingeverything on the menu and so our waiter tended to favor them over us?consequently we had to wait a little while for our maincourses. And the mango tuna roll in my opinion had tuna pieces that were too large. I?m not a big fish person so for me theamount of tuna was a bit overwhelming. The tuna was not balanced with the mango. I would have preferred less tuna and more sweetmango. Some people might think that was a positive but for me it was just too much. Everything else was divine and overall thisis a very very amazing and magical restaurant. PS On Tuesdays the desert special is a roasted banana soufflé. They were not able to accommodate a Birthday party for 16 people on one big table, even though they knew in advance (days) we... were coming. Very disappointed. I recommend from the very beginning to state how the bill is going to be split. We had issuesat the end. Calamari wasn?t the best, but some of the food was excellent and service was good. Read more

Delicious food, drink and desserts. Great service. Beautiful right on the beach. About a 10 minute walk from the parking lot... but so so worth it. They give blankets out if you get cold since we were on the patio area and so gorgeous out there watchingthe waves and sunset. Read more
