Kona is lacking in Indian options. This is the only good quick option. I've never had south Indian cuisine before and the dosa... is essentially a crepe that is filled with various vegetarian/vegan fillings. They come with sauces on the side. I Had theMysore Masala Dosa which came with 3 sides. The sides were interesting. Not sure how well they pair with the dosa itself but anice bonus nonetheless. The heat level was towards the mild end of the spectrum. I also had a mango lassi which was solid. Theordering system is really slick where you simply use your phone or the kiosk to order. It works really nicely and the items areall described there which is nice. Downsides: Located in a food court Restrooms are not nearby and require a key Food is notsuper portable Sodas are $4 This is a good Kona vegetarian restaurant and Kona vegan restaurant option. The food was tasty here. Like really tasty. And I'm a south Indian so I can vouch for that. And as one, I'll say that perhaps... the Dosa skillet was not hot enough when it was made, so it failed to give it the right texture. But that's a smallone. Everything we ate here?masala dosa, cheese dosa, biryani, and filter coffee, was a treat. We were so glad to be able toeat good South Indian food on our vacation! Read more

3.5/5 for this place. We were excited to try this place on the island and I?d say it was?decent enough. Good - We tried the... masala and schezwan dosa. Masala dosa was better among the two. It came with some potato kinda gravy inside which was okay.Service was quick and the guy at the counter was helpful. Dosa was big and filling. Bad- Do yoursef a favour and skip theschezwan dosa in case you are looking for spicy Indian food on the island. It was filled with a bunch of onions with loads ofcarrots and beetroot (abs not necessary IMO) which added a lot of sweet flavor to the dosa :/ Sambar was mostly bland and is1/4th of the quantity compared to what we get on the mainland and was $$ too. Overall a decent place to try. Read more

We were super hungry, googled for vegetarian restaurants and saw this place open.. food was really good.. we ordered podi dosa,... mysore dosa, idli sambar n chai.. all just super tasty!! Podi dosa crispy spicy enough but not super spicy.. so that is great..the chutney that they serve along with is is yum!! Idli vada n sambar also great.. vada was super crispy so that?s always aplus..sambar was a lik watery yet tasty Chai was v good.. no complaints there .. oh can i forget the masala lemonade..???????????????? Mysore dosa spicy so if you plan to give your plan be careful. Only down side is the toilet/ restroom sincelocated in foodcourt is locked and needs to unlocked with a key.. so the whole point of washing hands is lost..but again we wentat 7:45 when the food court was closed and only dosa grill was open.. I also wish there were better signs for the restaurant espduring night time .. had difficulty finding the plave.. but the owner was v good at responding to calls and guiding us!! Read more

If you want Indian food, this is not the place to go. Rava Dosa with Masala: Too Oily. We can apply some to our hair after we... eat. Good for Hawaiian weather. Burnt and not even close to regular Rava Dosa. Masala should be in the dosa and mashed not onthe side and the potato curry they served was bland. Onion Masala Dosa: Same. Oily and Masala was not good and served on theside. Ghee Dosa with Onion: Can?t even smell a drop of ghee. You can literally tell it?s full of oil. Don?t try to do checkCovid symptoms like sense of smell here at this place. Lol Kulfi: Omg They served it in a bowl and it was melted. Mangolassi: It?s good. Masala Lemonade: Best of the all we ordered. The red chutney was good which was served with the dosa. Nevercoming back again. I still wonder why 4.3 stars if this place is not even serving 50% of the regular taste. And not even closeto the pictures on their menu. Lol Regards, Suresh Y Read more
