The food was tasty here. Like really tasty. And I'm a south Indian so I can vouch for that. And as one, I'll say that perhaps... the Dosa skillet was not hot enough when it was made, so it failed to give it the right texture. But that's a smallone. Everything we ate here?masala dosa, cheese dosa, biryani, and filter coffee, was a treat. We were so glad to be able toeat good South Indian food on our vacation! Read more
3.5/5 for this place. We were excited to try this place on the island and I?d say it was?decent enough. Good - We tried the... masala and schezwan dosa. Masala dosa was better among the two. It came with some potato kinda gravy inside which was okay.Service was quick and the guy at the counter was helpful. Dosa was big and filling. Bad- Do yoursef a favour and skip theschezwan dosa in case you are looking for spicy Indian food on the island. It was filled with a bunch of onions with loads ofcarrots and beetroot (abs not necessary IMO) which added a lot of sweet flavor to the dosa :/ Sambar was mostly bland and is1/4th of the quantity compared to what we get on the mainland and was $$ too. Overall a decent place to try. Read more

Kona is lacking in Indian options. This is the only good quick option. I've never had south Indian cuisine before and the dosa... is essentially a crepe that is filled with various vegetarian/vegan fillings. They come with sauces on the side. I Had theMysore Masala Dosa which came with 3 sides. The sides were interesting. Not sure how well they pair with the dosa itself but anice bonus nonetheless. The heat level was towards the mild end of the spectrum. I also had a mango lassi which was solid. Theordering system is really slick where you simply use your phone or the kiosk to order. It works really nicely and the items areall described there which is nice. Downsides: Located in a food court Restrooms are not nearby and require a key Food is notsuper portable Sodas are $4 This is a good Kona vegetarian restaurant and Kona vegan restaurant option.
