First of all, the decor is clean, elegant, and beautiful. Small and intimate setting. We got a reservation easily (2 at 7pm) and... were seated immediately. Few but friendly staff. It's not a big menu, nor fancy, but there's options for everyone (except vegansprobably). Service is fast and great. And the food is some of the best I've ever had. Spicy Ahi Roll is AMAZING, tempura isperfectly fried, all the sushi is great. Expensive, yes, but well worth the money. 100% visit if you're in Kona! Read more
I was looking for a place to eat and found this sushi place nearby the hotel I was staying in. I decided to dine here after... reading good reviews on Google. The inside was clean and the waitress was friendly. But the food was okay. Maybe my expectationwas too high or I ordered the wrong dishes. It didn?t taste bad but I had a better one. MUST TRY WHILE ON BIG ISLAND! This was the best food I?ve ever had?I?ve had sushi all over the West and East coast, but never... tasted anything like this before. The only sushi that my wife had comparable to this place is a restaurant she went to in Japan.The salmon sashimi melts in your mouth, the nama hotate is perfectly balanced, and the special role is an explosion of flavor.Also please try the thin sliced hamachi with truffle oil.
