Stopped by here on a whim. We had their Kalua Pig & Cabbage and Fish Tacos. The Fish Tacos at Lava Bowls are the best we have... ever had! We live in Southern California, where fish tacos abound. This place will make us never be satisfied with the tacosback in southern California. We will be going out of our way to eat here again before leaving island. Read more

Yesterday at the Kona Fair, Lava Bowls Hawaiian Food Truck, was set up inside by the tables for everyone to sit at. They had... three choices of plates available, I chose the beef luau plate. Horrible, not even taro leaf, was some other type of greens(c'mon Hawaiian). Had some meat inside but was hard to find them in the plate and was even harder to taste it. No love in thefood.
