Food was delicious. The Panang curry and orange chicken paired with Thai sticky rice was perfect. The chicken was high quality.... The Thai iced tea and the Thai iced coffee was excellent. We went around 2pm, and were able to get a seat easily. Service wasfast, and friendly. The decor is fun too if you like 80s music. I spotted a flux capacitor on the wall from Back to theFuture. This place is truly deserving of 5 stars. The set up is interesting. For dine-in, you seat yourself and order online (QR code at... the table). Once your food is ready, they?ll call your name and you pick it up at the counter. The food is all packaged to-gowhich is nice so you can easily take the leftovers home. Now for the food? absolutely incredible. I?ve been to Thailand and thisis about as good as it gets. I highly recommend the Khao Soi if you?ve never had it before. The part I love most about thisplace is that it?s a family-run business with owners who are passionate what they do. I was talking to the host for a bit and hetold me that his parents-in-law are the cooks and from Northern Thailand. It?s all their own recipes and they really built thisfrom the ground up. This is our second visit to My Thai. After the first wonderful experience last year, we made it a point to come back next time... we come to maui. The food is just so fantastic. Not only do they have great flavor but they also come with very generousportions. We ordered two dishes with seafood and crispy calamari. All so yummy with a lot of seafood compared to what you?d getelsewhere. The two of us can?t even finish all. The Thai tea with coconut milk is so delicious that I ordered a second one togo. It is not as surgery as what you would get in other Thai restaurants. Definitely recommend to try it! The owner told us allthe food is cooked by his parents in law from northern Thailand. This is one of those meals that felt like a spiritual experience. A long day of travel preceded our stop at My Thai Maui, and we... popped in shortly before they closed. The owner seemed genuinely grateful that we chose to eat there, and let us dine at our owntempo despite the fact that they were about to close. They told us the story of how they opened the restaurant, and how they'reso happy to see customers returning. We ordered pad thai, orange chicken, and pineapple fried rice. All were incredible. Whenyou come to Maui, this is the kind of place you want to stop. Forget all the familiar chain restaurants near the airport, MyThai Maui needs to be at the top of your list! Read more
My family and I just flew into Maui a couple nights ago and MY Thai was our first food spot on the island.. let me just start by... saying everything was incredible. We were greeted at the host window by Matthew who kindly directed us to our table in theiroutdoor seating garage and explained the "take out" menu style of the restaurant. The garage is beautifully decorated and playedgreat music! We first ordered the orange chicken bao buns, the papaya salad and spring rolls- all of which were fantastic butthe bao buns were the fab favorite. We then ordered the Garlic noodles, Khao Soi, Pork Belly stew, and Green Curry. Again,everything was incredible but the hype around the Garlic noodles is well deserved- they're a flavor bombshell. My family hasbeen to many Thai restaurants but this place is seriously the real deal with a fantastically friendly staff. If you findyourself in Maui you've got to give this place a try! Read more
All I have to say is WOW!!! This was the best Thai food we've ever had. Everything was spot on. It is in a unique location.... Don't let that detour you. The setup is somewhat entertaining in and of itself. With Covid protocols, they use an intercomsystem and QR code for ordering. It works well, but the guy running the intercom is quit the character! If I had to do it over,this would be our first stop on arrival and the last on the way out. Thank you for the amazing food and experience!!! Read more
5 STAR recommend! It is a family operated restaurant, the host is very friendly and hospitable. They currently only have the... open space to dine or take-out. They serve a variety of northern Thailand cruises. We had a fried shrimp as appetizer, anorthern Thai styled pork with curry and a noodle soup.
