Reviews for McGivney's Sports Bar & Grill Downtown in Juneau, AK
The chicken Caesar salad was my favorite. I had heard that the nachos were the best, but we had 3 orders of nachos in our group... of 10 people and no one was terribly impressed with them, but the Reubens, Caesar salads, and pretzels were all good. At ourtable, we also had a couple burgers and a pizza, which looked good, but I didn't try any of them. Our server was attentive andthere weren't many people in the restaurant, probably because it's located inside the Four Points Sheraton by the marina. Read more
Went twice this week. Had a breakfast special of French toast, 2 eggs, 3 sausage, and hash browns. Split with wife. Plenty of ... food. Went back today and played a board game with friends with drinks and pretzels. Nice time. Read more
Used to love going here, but hadn't been there in a couple months. Went in today for lunch. Got seated at 12:10, ordered at... around 12:15, got our food at 12:47. Wouldn't really care about the wait, except two parties who ordered after us were servedbefore us. The food was heavily over salted, my Reuben and fries were salty enough that I couldn't taste the slaw or thethousand island dressing on the sandwich, and my Wife's burger was burned on one side. Combine that with the 4 dollar coke, notgoing to be going back for a while. Read more

Once an excellent and five star review. It's unfortunate that I am now having to change and update with my most recent... experience here... Customer service is EVERYTHING!! Who ADDS a tip to their customer's receipt after being tipped in cash? Thetip area on the recipe was purposely crossed through, as to indicate, no tip on that particular cc transaction. We tip in cashon a PICK UP order. Therefore, it is my belief that this was a deliberate "mistake". Then to have the customer go through hoopsas if they're the one who's at fault, for just five dollars. In conclusion, having to escalate the matter to management. Onlythen to ask/suggest to the manager that an apology would have been a nice gesture and/or atleast a verbal acknowledgment ofTHEIR mistake. That was my FINAL straw! I still dont know when we'll have the charge reversed but then again, it's just fivedollars.... ???? NO, it's the PRINCIPLE! How many others has this happened to? The cook that day must have been new because thefood was not as expected either. My chicken pasta was very bland, very unusual. However, that was not ever our complaint, as weate our dinner at home and continued with our night. To bad, their lack of customer service and conflict resolution has nowcaused them to lose a few loyal and local customers. We are the ones who carried them through this pandemic. That's mypoint! While its typical for our local businesses to become complacent (small town) within their practices, its NEVERacceptable for a manager to explain to a customer why that's okay. Being extremely "too busy" to hold yourestablishment/employee accountable, failing to apologize, minimalizing the issue, and having failed to have found or properlyexplain a resolution is NOT your customer's problem nor concern. That is simple just rude and very unprofessional. Read more
Dustin was an AWESOME server! This is their Ruben Special! Taste great but be HUNGRY!!
Fun little pub within the hotel, good food, great prices. It is a sports bar so plenty of tvs around. Had the fish and chips,... was quite delightful. Biggest selling point truly is the fact this won't break the bank. Read more
We were at the restaurant with a group of 10 people. The service was extremely slow and the waitress was not very friendly. The... food came, except for 1 meal. It finally came when everyone else was already done. Due to being a group more than 8 theyautomatically added 18% gratuity. Forget about being a valued customer! They charge you 18% grats regardless of the service. The?excuse? (absolutely everywhere in Alaska this year!!!!) is the shortage of staff. It is ridiculous! Stay away! Way overpricedwherever you go in Alaska with a terrible service! I am a tour guide and come up here since 20 years. Read more
