Such an enjoyable experience with all the diner vibes you expect in a fifties diner! I got the Reuben with a side of onion rings... (frozen, not fresh, but good!) and my wife got the grilled cheese sandwich that was grilled to perfection. The staff is pleasantand the aesthetics are awesome. There's even a novel train that goes around above you in the restaurant and a gift store nextdoor to keep kids busy. Highly recommend for lunch! We also didn't have to wait which was great. Read more

Took my Wife to have lunch at Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant on the lake but come to find out that it was changed to The Pub... Restaurant and was closed on Wednesday. So we continued to head to Julian and stumbled upon Miners Diner which was a really neatplace and the Home of the 1920's Soda Fountain. We both had CheeseBurgers and I had Onion Rings and my Wife had Fries. Lunch wasdelicious and we shared a StrawBerry Sundae with Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Strawberry topping and nuts. Quite a few veggie options, including the delicious veggie melt. I had a side of very good potato salad and the waitress... informed me that the side of beans contain bacon, which was helpful. Also had fresh warm cider which was amazing! Read more
Visited this place some weeks ago , stopped by for lunch and it was pretty good! I got a burger which was really good , one of... those thick patty so delicious . My boyfriend got a turkey sandwich and shake , the turkey was on the dry side but overallwe?d go back again . Read more
Nice place, with attentive staff. The ambiance is great. Decorated floor to ceiling in memorabilia from previous decades, like... the 50s and before. They also have a neat train that travels the perimeter of the 2 halves of the restaurant. They have abasement "cave" that serves as a candy store, so if you brought kids, beware because they'll want to eat there instead of theactual restaurant. They don't serve breakfast past a certain time. We arrived at 11:30am, and they told us breakfast time wasover, so check before entering if you want breakfast. We visited Julian recently and when we for there, we decided to eat at Miner's Diner. It's a fifties diner and has all kinds of... old timey themes with their foods. We ordered the Miner's Melt and Grilled Cheese sandwiches. We also tried their strawberryshake and phosphate drink. The grilled cheese was close to perfect and their fries were very tasty. The strawberry shake tastesvery strawberry, which is always good. They also have a candy area downstairs that has sound effects of being in a mine. And theservers are also very friendly and helpful.
