Got a latte and a tuna melt with provolone. Great, simple latte - the espresso quality is clearly good. The tuna melt was... absolutely fabulous, probably one of the best sandwiches I?ve had in a long time. The bread was fresh and grilled to perfection,served at just the right temperature for the cheese to melt and still remain in one piece, the tuna seemed fresh and flavorful,and the portion size was very good for the price! Came with a little arugula salad on the side, which was a great touch. Idrove here from LA, and I might probably go back just for the tuna melt ???? Tried the panini, an everything bagel, and a drip coffee. Very good. Will be back for more. Everything in behind the glass case... was asking to be sampled. However I was on a bike and had no room to take extras back. Be forewarned, when you ask for creamcheese with your bagel, you get it. And I like it. Read more

The food was extremely good, very well prepared and fresh. In fact, this is some of the best food in town. Impressive, and I'll... be back! I tried the BLT and the caprese sandwich, both were great. The one thing that bothered me was that each sandwich camewith 38g of single-use plastic. I wish they'd asked me, and offered me an alternative. Now I'll have to find some way to reusethem... Exemplary, pretentious in a good way, the kind of pretentious you want your friends to be when you go to a cocktail party, had a... bacon quiche warmed up which was delicious and an even more amazing plate of charcuterie that was made in store, absolutelyscrumptious, I actually regretted eating at crossroads after I ate here, they have a wide variety of drinks and snacks forroadsters, I would highly recommend the Dez to anyone who goes by and would suggest you do the same 8.5/10 Read more

YUM! They makecharcuterie boards that are so delicious - just go in person (at least 1 day) before you you want it. The bacon... quiches are also incredibly delicious - they?ll heat them for you! Read more

We tried the Lunchbox deal from The DEZ which was perfect for our hike on Lost Horse Loop - they provide a sandwich, a salad,... chips, a fruit and a cookie all for the cost of $15! Staff are very friendly and gave us good tips for the area too! Read more

Today, I had the best tuna sandwich and Greek Orzo salad in my life. This is quickest place to get fine food in Joshua Tree.... (It?s all to go) I recommend getting your lunch and going back to your Airbnb/house.
