The food was good & restaurant was clean with speedy service, help very nice. I was a little off on the price of 4 ribs 2 +sides... for $14. Actually I think a snack pack on the ribs would be a better idea of like two ribs and one side. I thought the music wasa little loud for a barbecue restaurant & it was really chilly inside especially when the temperature outside was 32°degrees. I just actually wanted to stop in and I was hoping they did have a snack pack of ribs but instead I had to have fourribs and two sides plus large Texas toast way to much for a 2pm late lunch. My friend had a pork brisket sandwich in oneside.Anyway it was a good place and you should definitely stop in and have yourself lunch or dinner. And I tried all three orfour barbecue sauces on the table they were all really good so yes, give Billy Sims in Joplin Missouri a try... Read more
Only once on a Sunday I got small ribs,food was unusually cold and one of the ribs was un chewable..real tough...wasn't cooked... long enough I suspect. Normally a favorite place of mine always consistent but last Sunday..I don't know?? Leftovers?Disappointed...quality took a hit. But I'll be back cause all in all ..my favorite place. The place was clean, the workers were friendly and not rude or snotty, very helpful. We ordered the Pulled Brisket meals and the... meat had lots of flavor, buns were soft, not hard and sides were good. Would recommend. Read more
Ordered online. My girlfriend picked up and they told her they were short almost the entire order. They offered her the same... thing but more. And got some disgusting brown corn on the cob .it looked like they packed it up in the 2 go order with nothought of us complaining about it cause we weren't eating there apparently. They gave us No refund after calling& addressingthe concern. The little thiefs took advantage I got some pulled pork instead of $30 ribs. Be careful there. Never heard backfrom a manager. I used to work at a Billy Sims long ago. My favorite sandwich was the Heisman. Smoked baloney hot links and either pulled pork... or chopped brisket. Feeling nostalgic I wanted to get one. First, it took almost 10 minutes to get the sandwich. When Iworked at mine, start to finish, it took 3 minutes tops. Second, when I got it home, the bologna was almost burnt and thechopped brisket was drier than Easter basket grass. It certainly wasn't the same quality as when I worked at Billy Sims. Restaurant has gotten a freshening up during COVID. The food was excellent for the price paid. The service was good. My husband... is really picky so he wasn't completely happy. Sometimes adequate service and improvement of operations exceed expectations.Thank you for making those improvements! Read more
Service is soooo slow- speaker has been broken for quite a while and prices are higher....we know Billy Sims can do sooo much... better- we just aren't sure why they won't... It's not all all a reflection on the employees--- management has 100% control. Imessaged their Facebook page at least 2 years ago about putting awnings at the drive thru will you order AND at pickup windowand they replied they would be doing a remodel and adding them...STILL no awnings ????????
