I can't believe I have heard this restaurant so many times from my friends for years and never get to try. The food is delish... and prices are extremely cheap. Their Roast Beef was super soft and the gravy on top adds more flavor to it . I heard that theirchicken and Dumpling dish is super popular but I didn't care much ,to me it was missing flavors big time. Atmosphere of thisrestaurant is cool , the little board game they put on every table is fun , I even purchased one for my kids . I woulddefinitely visit this restaurant again . Read more
Went for lunch on a weekday. Long wait bc no clean tables. Long wait before approached for drink order. Ordered biscuits, corn... bread brought with food over 40min later. I have ordered the ham here a dozen times. I got one that had been cut in half! Iasked if it was a lunch special aka smaller portion and was told it?d always been that small?ummm no?$12 for what I got. And thefries were cold. Terrible. Read more
Went here on our way back from Starved Rock. I had the Fried Chicken with okra, mashed potato and corn bread. My friend had pork... chops with mashed potato, turnip and biscuits. Everything was really nice! So much food, we had to take some home. The waiterwas really nice and friendly. The place and the restrooms were clean as well. Read more

Service is always great and the food fresh and hot. They do need to upgrade the chairs. The chairs are not comfortable and... really hard.
