Reviews for Anthony's Wood Fired in Johnstown, PA
Beautiful, fresh, and inspired with a family-oriented vibe.???? Anthony's has a fantastic ambiance, and equally excellent fare.... Pizzas are sharable, with the perfectly fired Neapolitan crust and an array of styles. The bread here is top notch, too! Nicelyselected beers on tap, and well thought out wine list. Staff are helpful and friendly always, and the food is a must try! Read more
We love eating there. The lasagna is the best. We do miss the salad bar. Love that they have take put specials.
It was just ok. It once had a very nice atmosphere, it's gone, it's stale and needs a face lift. The food too is just ok, it... once was at the top of my places to go not any longer. It wasn't very memorable Read more
We love Anthony?s. Order from there frequently. Was disappointed this Mother?s Day though. Ordered Penne Alfredo, there was so... much parsley MIXED IN in that you couldn?t taste the Alfredo. The chicken didn?t seem grilled to me maybe just boiled? We werenot a fan. A little sad as that was my Mother?s Day dinner. We frequently get the penne Alfredo and it has never been like this. Will order again but it?s going to be a little bit until we do. Lol Read more
Food was excellent and service was fast and waitresses were very friendly. Chicken tenders and rigatoni and meatballs were... phenomenal. Gob cake had the best filling. Would go out of my way to get a piece or whole cake to share. Read more
I was introduced to Anthony?s decades ago (1995) when I had my wedding reception there. They do an excellent job of catering an... event, I also bought their chicken tenders for my son?s graduation party and once again they didn?t disappoint. If you haven?thad them, you should. In recent years they have added a brick oven for traditional Italian pizza, which is really good. Irecently tried the house made fettuccine a la Bolognese, very authentic. The staff are very attentive, plus the manager and chefstopped by to make sure everything was okay. Read more
We ordered the Margherita pizza, lasagna, and chicken picatta. The pizza was excellent and the lasagna was one of the better... ones I?ve ever tried. But the chicken piccata wasn?t very good. The sauce was too loose and made eating the linguini theypaired it with frustrating. The sauce couldn?t adhere itself to the pasta and kept slipping off it. I had more sauce in mypasta bowl than in my gut after all was said and done. Cheesecake Factory makes a better piccata using capellini and larger, flat chicken cutlets. The service was top notch and our server threw in two gob cakes for us to sample for free. Woulddefinitely come back again when we?re in town. Read more
