Reviews for The Old Horseshoe Restaurant and Tavern in Johnstown, OH
One of the nicest dining experiences available in town. The staff was friendly and the food was great. I've been there when it's... packed and when it's slow. Consistently a great experience and that's what I really look for in a restaurant. Read more
Great place to relax and grab a drink with family & friends. The menu is one page, everything on it is good pub food. I normally... order the buckeye pretzel bites or the fried pickles and a pulled pork sandwich or a meatball sub. Every once in a while I'llalso order a pizza to take to the kids. The food is really good and they get it to you pretty fast. The prices are the best onthe block. Many nights they have drink specials and sometimes live music upstairs. Parking is always a breeze if you use theback lot. I would avoid street parking, to much traffic and too much risk of curbing your wheels. Read more

What a surprise. Driving by we decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Very neat building! The service and food were great. If... you are in the area, stop by. Locally owned and operated and a hidden gem in Jtown. Looking forward to going back andexploring the menu. Read more
Typically a frequent customer, will not be returning. Our entire equestrian team ate dinner here tonight after a competition... down the road. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sub, with the grilled chicken. Unfortunately the shredded chicken was riddledwith bones - to the extent that I was able to make a pile to the side of my plate. I pointed this out to the server and she wascompletely unphased, with no offers to reconcile. I paid for the sandwich in full, but found this to be very dangerous (amongall other things). I was also sharing with my 2 year old toddler, and am thankful I found the problem before he had theopportunity to choke on a bone! Very disappointed in how the situation was handled entirely, and quite disgusted. Read more
It?s the ?New? Oldhorseshoe Tavern. New owner. New menu. Definitely worth a try.
Stopped by for a casual lunch on a Thursday. Patio was closed due to short staff which was a bummer but our server, Natalie, was... great and working hard. Wings were amazing as was the bleu cheese!!! Kids cheeseburgers were very pink inside. Can?t wait to trythe pizza next time. Saw a few delivered to other tables and they looked delicious. Read more
The good: The food was really good. I had their signature burger and the burger and fries were spot on. The waiter was excellent... the perfect balance between attentive and letting us enjoy our meal. The bad: The fascination with fake Western history is alittle odd (as many pictures of Western movie actors as historical figures but it's not a movie restaurant). No ugly to report. Read more
