We are new to the area and checked out a recommended nearby restaurant. I am SO glad we did. This place had the best pickle... fries I have ever had. I'm a fried pickle connoisseur. We also got the wings of course. Their wings were so tasty! We triedseveral of the sauces and we loved each one. Pair the delicious food with outstanding customer service from Ashley and Cole.They were so welcoming and hospitable. It was late and We were looking for a close restaurant to eat at and wing shack in Johnstown pulled up on google. I was super... nervous about going after reading the reviews that popped up on YELP and seeing the photo with a raw wing made me nervous but wewere super hungry so I we decided to stop in and try it anyway. So glad we did! Before we arrived I thought because it was latewe wouldn?t get the best of service as the workers would probably be over their shift and ready to be out the door but it wasthe complete opposite. The place was super clean, the wings and service were by far better than b dub?s and everything came outfairly quickly. The lady at the bar and the waitress were super sweet and didn?t make us feel rushed. We really enjoyed our mealand the atmosphere! Pretty consistently good food. (A couple of times my carry out order was overcooked, but that's pretty rare.) Best eaten fresh... on site, in my opinion. The sweet potato tots are sublime. Also, a nice selection of beer on tap. Read more
Update: the wings were cooked perfectly as usual. Great opening night experience. We love Wingshack. I'm so glad Johnstown has... one now too! We're here for the grand opening at 4pm and they have good traffic. Plenty of seating for diners and folks waitingfor carryout. Two cashiers for quicker service. Gorgeous interior. I ordered the sauce of the month for lunch today which is the salt and vinegar dry rub....... Well they were not dry at all... which isn't bad but the grease that they covered it for a binder didn't make these boneless wings enjoyable at all. Worked infood service for over 9 years and have never used that much oil or whatever they used for a binder to coat an item. Maybe I'llhave better luck next time. Asked an employee why they looked the way they did and their response was that they dip them in theoil so the seasoning sticks. I would've seasoned the wings as soon as they came out of the fryer but that's just me. ???? Read more
