A nice local spot to grab a beer and some good food in a friendly atmosphere. I had the patty melt with sweet potato fries and... it was especially tasty. My wife had one of the pizzas and said it was very good. We also had the chocolate cake a la mode. Itwas good but very rich, so think about splitting a piece! Helpings overall were plentiful. Very very good overall ... First time there. The poblano pepper queso covered fried chicken was amazing. Mac and cheese was... very tasty. The chicken fried steak was good but not stellar. The white gravy was meh -- needed pepper. All the staff wereamazing and very friendly. Read more
4.5 Excellent service and hospitality as you walk in the door. They were excellent with my daughter. The food was good. The most... yummiest was the cornbread casserole and the burger. I couldn?t stop eating the cornbread casserole. The chicken was cooked wellbut maybe I?m not used to the sweet pecan taste. I also think the mash potatoes need more flavoring or gravy. From the moment we set foot in the restaurant, the hostess and staff were very welcoming and inviting. Very welcoming to say the... least. We were seated in the barn near the stage and fell in love with the positive vibe from everyone. It?s just a safe andhappy place to be. We ordered the Texas Philly Pizza and the Thai flavored Wings. Great spot in the heart of the hill country. Super friendly staff, makes you feel like a regular on your first trip. Gluten Free... options, pizza crust and sandwich buns. Cauliflower crust is surprisingly tasty! Don, Debbie and Coach were super friendly, andvery helpful. Fun atmosphere, good parking situation for being right off 290. Great service from our server, Duane. BLT was yummy and bacon was perfectly crispy crunchy. Sweet potato fries were some of the... best I had. It is served with ranch dressing but I think ketchup or mayonnaise is a better accompaniment. Kolsch was a nicelight brew that want refreshing. Read more
Pecan Street Brewing is a great local spot in Johnson City! Good beer selection but I came for the food! The pecan chicken fried... chicken was delicious with a ?side? of bacon mac n cheese.
