Honest to goodness, probably the best pizza I've had since moving to TX two years ago. The owner was so nice and accommodating,... and he did an amazing job on our pies. We each got our own 10", which was more than enough for one person. I had the pepperoni:a generous portion of crispy-edged goodness sitting in a delicious, gooey mound of fresh mozzarella. Hot Mess makes THE BEST pizza in the hill country. The pizza is always made with fresh ingredients, the perfect amount of sauce,... and plenty of cheese. Hot Mess Pizza is a must stop along Hwy 281 in Johnson City. Who thought pizza could be so good from a food truck? Everything is... fresh and made to order. While you?re waiting, visit the bar next door for a cold drink, country tunes and billiards. We tookthe food to go and sat on the banks of the Pedernales River to eat. It was such a wonderful trip. After getting done at Pedernales we were starving and decided to call in an order to this highly rated place. I was surprised... that it was actually a food truck next to a bar but so glad we tried it! The food was just amazing!! They were out of bonelesswings so we just ordered the plain with sauce on the side. The pizza was the Cowboy? And it was just perfect, Thincrispy crust.A great local place!! Stopped by on our way to Dallas and found this gem! Got a meat lovers and trouble mess pizza. They were both Delicious! We... wanted to try a burger but unfortunately they were unable to make it. Darn good stuff. I had a small pizza and some wings as did my buddy. I was definitely full off of them. We will be back for sure... when we visit. The wings come naked and are smaller than typical lab grown wings but they are crispy and delicious. You can pickyour sauces served on the side. Read more
