As a foodie, I don't know how I hadn't heard of this place sooner. The whole place is a vibe! The aesthetic is dope: the cook... books were a nice touch. Our waitress was Mads and she was awesome! We started with the fried green tomatoes (10/10) and thequal (8/10). I enjoyed the whipped goat cheese with the tomatoes. The texture was surprisingly pleasant and the honey was anexcellent addition as well. I do recommend thinner slices to allow the consumer to easier/better enjoy the breading and tomatosimultaneously. My drink was the Butterflies Knees: a take on Bees Knees (10/10), not too sweet. Perfect! Our entrees were thebraised lamb (10/10) and the lamb meatballs (9/10). I hate lima beans but that puree with the meatballs was so good! The braisedlamb was the star of the evening! Cooked beautifully, super tender and tasted absolutely phenomenal! Great food, service, and atmosphere. Our server, Malachi, gave great recommendations and we enjoyed every dish…(lamb... meatballs, pork belly, and goat cheese terrine) Also brought our pup and very dog friendly which is always a plus! 10/10recommend! Read more
Superb service, food, and atmosphere! Need I say more? But seriously, where do I begin. Our server, Malachi, is a gem. His... knowledge of the cocktails and food was extensive and his passion for ensuring a wonderful experience is unparalleled. For food,we had the watermelon, fritters and wedge salad. Each dish had creative flair - can we talk about Tapioca inside a fritter?! -and was downright scrumptious. They are serious about their cocktails which was a breath of fresh air. All of the ingredientsare thoughtfully put together and you can even order classics like a dirty martini if you dare veer from the menu. For entrees,we had the burger, chicken sandwich and vegetable plate. Let’s put it this way - no one had food to take home. Oh, and if youhave a sweet tooth I’d highly advise trying the s’more dessert. Smoked vanilla ice cream is a thing and you won’t regretgiving it a try! Read more
I am so blown away! I had the braised lamb and sweet potato. The lamb is literally the best lamb I've ever had in my life, and... the sweet potato hit every taste bud in my mouth. Definitely a go-to if you haven't been here yet. Keep up the great work,Timber! ?????? Read more
As an employee of The State of Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, I've had opportunities to eat to some of the best... places in our great state, and I must say that Timber! Exceeded all of my expectations. The food, the service, theatmosphere.....it was all top notch. I look so forward to recommending this place to locals and tourists alike. I was blownaway! I had family come in from over 2200 miles away, we had ONE night to eat out together and I chose Timber. I am SO glad Idid! This is our favorite place! It’s always delicious, the bartender Brandon is great, and the whole place is pretty low key, but... so super tasty! I’ve heard they weren’t great when they first opened a couple years ago, but I can confidently say fromexperience that they have completely turned it around and provide a wonderfully delicious variety of food and drinks! If paststories/experiences are keeping you from going, give them another chance. You won’t be disappointed! You really can’t evergo wrong with any of their staple items, but we have always been very impressed with the seasonal items as well! It is alwaysworth it when you get quality! 5 / 5 and I never... Where do I begin - what a gem. We love dining in JC, but this is by far our new favorite spot. Tap... selection was great. Server (Jet) was knowledgeable and helpful. Selection wasn't overburdened with IPAs like most in this partof the world. I always drive - but once we saw the cocktail offering, my fiance offered because she knew I was excited. I wentwith my standard test (as simple as it may seem), a top shelf cosmopolitan. It was spot on. The color (light pink - don't judge,I'm a 300 lb man in overalls) was perfect and the candied blueberry in the bottom was a nice surprise. The menu is amazing.Nearly tapas - be sure to scan the entire menu for potential starters. We had the Brussel sprouts and lamb meatballs (appportion). The sprouts were crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, with the exact right amount of carmelization. The cremawas unbelievable. The lamb was perfect. The mint (a requirement where I'm from when eating lamb) perfectly balanced thedish. The chicken THIGH sandwich was everything you'd ever wished for if you love dark meat. Why doesn't everyone de-bone anddeep fry thighs?!?!? Because they don't love you like Timber! Does. I won't even attempt to describe the burger or why is wasso good. I'll just say, it was so much better than a burger. If you go here, get one as an additional entree just to tryit. The ricotta dip was light and complimented our entrees well. The menu is ever changing but some.of these are permanentfixtures. Finally - the prices were beyond reasonable. I cannot stress this enough. This place is SO GOOD! We got the smoky sundae dessert, scotch, and Martinez drinks! ???????? It was amazing! The combo was... delicious. The drinks are strong and not weak.
