McAlister?s used to be so amazing! But ever since COVID we?ve been getting their delivery option, and it?s always horrible. 4... out of 5 times they forgot our $17 bulk soup. We called them twice to address it and they said they mailed us coupons but wenever got any. This time, they remembered the soup (I had to call to remind them not to forget it), but my McAlister?s club(choose 2) had about 90% less meat and cheese (I even paid for extra cheese) than usual. I will include a picture of it forreference before we started eating. There were some other issues too. We used to spend big $ eating at McAlister?s veryfrequently, but this is the last straw. I?m not going to bother to contact them, because they?ll just tell us they?re mailingcoupons that we will never receive again. Thanks to McAlister?s for having good food in the past though. Read more
August 12 2022. I changed my original review. The staff was very friendly this time and the food was good. Would not say great... but good. Well above average. Maybe the staff I met before was having an off day. Food is a little pricey but good for themoney. I'm glad we tried it again. The only thing I have to say good about this place. Is it's clean and the food is decent.But what ruins it for me is the staff. I cannot believe how rude they are. I would not recommend this place for anyone. We love Mcalister?s. It?s a healthy fast option. The club sandwich never disappoints. I also order the garden salad with olive... oil and balsamic (the dressing is awesome) I find myself ordering it at least once a week. The soups are really good and alwaysperfect temp. Food was top quality as most of them are. Drinks were fresh and food was very good. Our server was excellent and was on top of... our refills and making sure we had what we needed to get the most out of our meal. Their Broccoli and Cheese soup is the bestyou will find anywhere. We will definitely be going back when we are back in Johnson City which is at least once or twice amonth for the family. The wife works close to their with her job at Ballad Health a couple times a week. She has really fell inlove with the place. She had not ever eaten there until we started dating 1.5 years ago. Serious issues with the consistency of the food. One time the sandwich will be full of ingredients. The next time there is... almost nothing on it. Plus they skimp on the chips with the tortilla soup. Love the soup. But seriously comes with like 3-5chips. They were giving teeny plastic bags that would have only a few as their ?extra chips?, this time they brought out a smallbowl to go with three orders of tortilla soup to share as their idea of extra. For three of us. And the soup came with less thanthat. Chips are not going to bankrupt them. Mexican restaurants give bottomless chips. They used to give plenty but not in a fewyears. Well THAT was an awesome lunch! ???? I have loved this McAlister?s ever since they opened. My wife and me went here when we were... dating. Now we take our kid! Salad, soup, sandwiches, ?spuds? and maybe the best tea in the whole town! What?s more, it?s aclean place with a fantastic staff. It?s no wonder it?s one of our city?s top rated restaurants! Third time here and wow is the service excellent! Always greeted with a smile, offered customizations to the order, told about... any specials. The food is beyond excellent, but the Italian sub is by far my favorite! Worth every penny ???? Read more
