Last week was our family's second time vacationing here. The first time was pre-COVID about five years ago. The facilities,... room, food and staff were as world class as we remembered. Many thanks to everyone for their kindness in accommodating ourautistic son, and making the celebration of my wife's 50th birthday a wonderful experience. For the curious, I would say thebest part of this resort is the 3+ meals a day that is included in the room rate. The food is up there with the best resortfood you'll find around the world, but the Fogo Island and NL cuisine focus is indeed special. Whether you want to veg out andread in front of a dramatic rocky shoreline, or have guided hikes around the island, this resort is really about doing yourthing without pressure to do anything. You can park the car and take the trail right up to the hotel. They have some nice seating around a firepit where you can sit... and enjoy the ambiance. Unfortunately, if you don't stay at the hotel you can't go inside. Read more

The staff. They are amazing. From Sandra who greets you and makes sure everything goes perfectly, to the dining staff and... kitchen. The creative chefs make something new and unique every day and the servers and bar staff are also outstanding andextremely friendly and accommodating. The Inn itself is a daring concept by Zita Cobb and a feat of architectural beauty. Itis situated on rocky terrain with an unsurpassed panoramic view of the ocean. We’ve visited this spectacular Inn twice now andhope we can make it there one more time. Thanks to everyone, the front desk, the people who shuffle the cars, the housekeepingstaff, and especially Zita who followed her dream and created not only this fabulous place but contributed so much to thecommunity of Fogo Island.
