Friendly staff and good drinks. The food was not good. I had the apple roasted pork. Which was pork and then clearly covered... with apple pie filling after the fact. I hadn't been there in 25 years. When I used to go there it was my all time favorite place. Best steaks I'd ever had. This time... was less than good. Steaks were tough. But I would definitely give it another shot just in case they were having an off night. Read more
If you are in search of a classic Supper Club, Old Abe's is definitely your spot. The environment and staff are great. The food... is amazing. The fish fry is outstanding. Big portions and unbelievable flavor. They have a good salad bar and of course varietyof bar drinks. Also, you have to end your evening with a tasty ice cream after dinner drink. You have your choice of agrasshopper, pink squirrel, brandy alexander or a root beer float. Read more
Great food!!! Large old country style portions - we had the Friday Fish Fry and Prime Rib Excellent and as always. Also the... salad bar comes with the meal. NEVER had a bad meal, drinks or service at Old Abes Supper Club. Read more
We?ve been here a couple times recently and I always base my reviews based on ?expectations based on pricing and location?. If... you walk in, it?s very outdated but at the same time reminiscent of a supper club, which is exactly what it is. Brown walls andold leinies and other beer decor. Service is friendly. The fish fry is really good and reasonably priced. Dinners come with asalad bar that is pretty standard, nothing fancy but nice to have. Ive had the baked fish with broiled shrimp and my husbandhas had the fried fish and both of us were very satisfied. Drink prices are typical but the best part of this place is theyserve pink squirrel dessert drinks (they also have grasshoppers)! It?s rare to find a place around here that has them and it?swhat I look forward to when I go. We?ve also both had steaks medium rare done here and they were cooked perfectly. Mine couldhave used a touch more seasoning but otherwise good. One of the things we appreciate about this place is the simplicity. It?snot fancy, it?s quiet, and you can really enjoy someone?s company here (especially since there isn?t any cell service lol). Read more
