I love wonder bagels, it's my family's go to spot for breakfast on the weekends. As much as we love the food there, I can't... remember the last time they got my entire order correct it's so frustrating. Had to comment because it seems like everyone has gotten their order screwed up at this place. I ordered tofu scallion cream... cheese and the IDIOT behind the counter gave me regular JALAPEÑO cream cheese. And this has been one of many times. Check yourbags and your orders before you leave. This place hires very young and inexperienced. Otherwise I would say the bagels aredecent but kind of too large and doughy for my tastes with a very thin crust. Read more
This is my spot! They easily have the best bagels in the area, no question. It's quick and easy. My only qualm with this... location is that they don't always get your order correct. I'm talking the wrong kind of bagel, toasting when asking not to,leaving tomato, onion or eggs off a breakfast sandwich... stuff that you watch the younger employees write down that somehowdoesn't make it onto your order. I believe they have a new manager or more experienced woman working there who has differentand fun colored hair every time I seem to go in (which is often). Since she's been working the incorrect orders, whether she'shelping you or not, has gone down significantly. She has seemed to raise the level of everyone there because before, theyhonestly couldn't have cared less. In the past I've also been questioned on the amount I've tipped ($1 for a $2.50 bagel withzero toppings I think is more than generous). That hasn't happened since this woman has been working. I would 100% take theextra few moments to make sure what you ordered is in the bag before leaving because when they get your order correct, it'sgreat. 9/9/22 Update: It's now been 4 or 5 straight visits with the correct order so they're back to a five-star operation! Ordered delivery from here a couple times Classic and delicious egg sandwiches.... properly cooked eggs nice portion of bacon... and a nice soft bagel. My only quam is that everytime we ask for salt, pepper, ketchup they neglect the request, 1 of 4sandwiches had it the rest, no.... I understand it may be busy and lots of orders but it takes 10 seconds to add theseitems.... The breakfast wrap I got with the homefries in it was also really good and proper. I wish the homefries were a bitmore cooked though..... again.... slow down a bit.... people will wait an extra 30 seconds for their food to be proper andperfect rather than rushed. The French Toast bagel said to blow your mind on the site was underwhelming.... sweet and soft andtasty dont get me wrong but it definitely didnt blow my mind haha left something to be desired.... Moving to JC I?ve heard nothing but good things about wonder bagel. I?m sorry to say I have yet to receive service or food... that?s worth raving about. My orders are ALWAYS WRONG. I used to call in so I wouldn?t have to wait(the wait isn?t too bad onthe weekends). Calling in they still get my orders wrong. So now I walk in. And they still get it wrong!. Today?s example Iordered a platter with scrambled eggs with cheese, red & green peppers, broccoli and onions with hash browns and whole wheattoast. The employee told me they were out of broccoli (cool np). What I received a platter with eggs whites, tomato, greenpeppers, onion and mushrooms with no cheese. Not sure how that made sense to them but that?s what I received. And it?s mymistake not to check the platter before I walked out the door. But trust this is my last time going here. Read more
I've been here three times and was pleasantly surprised with the menu offerings. All of the breakfast spots in the Journal... Square area closed during the pandemic, so I am quite grateful to go here. I think they overcharged me once and they do nothave Latino-style cafecito/cafe con leche, but the selection of bagels, spreads, sandwiches and platters is really prettyabundant. Read more
Best wraps, best paninis, best everything ever. This particular location on Bergen is so nice and clean. Very calm atmosphere... and very nice staff. That?s the chicken pesto panini and i also recommend the buffalo chicken wrap with spinach tortilla, whichwas also recommended by the chef so i was highly satisfied. Amazing. Good coffee too. The best time to come here is when they open. Bagels are fresh and hot. Staff has been very helpful and nice.
