Came here on a Friday night.Outdoor patio seating was perfect for being able to see the TVs inside but still being able to talk... without it being too loud. Food was quick and delicous and the service was good. Had the chicken quesadillas and veg tacos. Bothexcellent! Drinks are great too. We tried a few martinis and cocktails. Fun atmosphere, music was good, classic club songs, getsyou in that dancing mood. Overall Service was good. Read more
I’d come here again! We came here for brunch on Sundays and you’re already staying Jersey City and the food was pretty good... same thing with the drinks. the price is reasonable. Being my first time in there I’ve only heard amazing things and how litit gets on the restaurant turns into a club at night. The food was good and the appetizers and drinks were amazing. I’m not much of a clubbing person but upstairs rooftop was nice... and lively while downstairs on the first floor was very active so there’s something for everyone here. Read more
2 stars for interior and seating, the service is good but had a lot of issue with the bill. we went in as a group of 4-5 people... and then other people joined, first we started drinks during happy hour and then continued with the regular price for drinks,also ended up having food because more people were joining, but mostly had drinks and food during happy hour itself and then therest a little bit, we ended up paying $700 and we didn't look at the receipt trusting that it will be right but turned out whenwe were splitting the bill between everyone, we saw that even after giving 20% gratuity there was $100 extra added to the billand also there were 3 drinks extra charged which we never had or ordered. so ended up calling bank and tried to dispute theextra amount charged and also tried contacting Ashford but never got response and did not get the amount back, it was reallydisappointing and this was not only one time but happened with my other friend too. we went there some other time since therewas a birthday celebration and it was a dj night but the music was okay they really need to work on their dj too. the ambiencewas good at the roof but due to this incident it really ruined the mood for this place, not a great experience, now I am scaredto visit back, don't wanna get extra charged. Restaurant week: lots of food for a reasonable price. Pretty good quality, but a couple things could be better. Music is very... loud inside or on the rooftop, but you can avoid it by sitting out front. We wish we had. Menu for restaurant week 2022 is: $30(pre tax and tip) for - appetizer: calamari or hummus or Caesar salad or bruschetta - entree: salmon or teriyaki chicken or lambchop - dessert: apple crumble or molten chocolate lava cake We had the calamari, chicken, salmon, apple crumble, and lava cake.The salmon was a bit overcooked and the rice under the chicken had crunchy bits (overcooked? Undercooked?). Otherwise it was allpretty good. Lava cake was delicious. Calamari was very good. Plating was good. Pictures attached. The appetizer and entreecame out at the same time, so that could've been a little better but the entree stayed hot so it was fine. Read more
Never been to this place before. We came later on in the evening so I didn't know it turned into like a small night club. They... lights go down low and the music comes on. I enjoyed my evening and they had $7.00 MARGARITAS ????. They also had $2.00 tacos????, minimum of 3. I had these and the BBQ chicken tenders with the fries. The fries were good. The steak tacos were tiny, butthe flavor was great. The chicken taco was bland so I would recommend the steak. The chicken BBQ tenders were ok. That margaritawas definitely loaded with Tequila I only needed 1! Overall ok place. They had a variety of food to choose from so if you likeburgers, pasta or tacos you can find it here. Read more
What could be a better snowy evening - handful of cocktails, NFL game and some guac and chips. This place at the Grove street,... NJ had all the flavors. Bang on! F@CK!NG DELICIOUS! I've written A LOT of reviews for Google. I do this so people will have an honest opinion about what they... might find when they visit a venue, a restaurant, a park, etc. Let me tell you HONESTLY that the steak I had tonight in JerseyCity at The Ashford is the best rare steak I've had in the US! I've been to 40+ countries around this big world and the onlystreak I've had that compared was in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. This was a spectacular meal at the Ashford; Even the broccoliwas steamed to perfection. The atmosphere is rich and sophisticated. The music could be a touch softer because my husband and Idid kind of shout at each other, but the playlist was great and the volume certainly won't keep us from visiting there again. Ilook forward to next time! I made a point to call the manager, Nick, over so that I could tell him personally how wonderful mymeal was and to ask him to give my compliments to the chef.
