Just around the corner from Newark St. in this little gem, I discovered Best Samosas in Jersey City! Diced potatoes and a... generous size. Chai was extra hot and made without sugar which can be difficult to find around here. Channa was authentictasting spicy and flavorful. The plain Naan is made with care and not overly doughy or dry. It?s balanced and crisp which pairednicely with the chickpeas/Channa. Chapli Kabab here is made from chicken. It is not something I had tried before. It was adornedwith fresh onion and parsley which elevated what would be a greasy chicken dish. The meat was grilled to perfection and crisp. The last taste was the Tikka Roll. The wrap was thin and packed full of chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. This was preparedslightly sweet which helped to balance the spice from the Channa. Long story short, I will be back! Read more
We were visiting from Dallas and we?re recommended to visit Samosa Paradise. We tried their keema and aloo samosas, you can see... that the size of the samosa is as big as my little ones head. And they it was perfectly crispy and delicious. We also got thealoo paratha which is their specialty. The size itself of the paratha is 18 inches. It was also very tasty, we enjoyed it a lot,and the. We got the jalebi and samosa chaat (a must try). Overall everything was great, the service by our. Server brotherHammad was very helpful in deciding what to get and with great service. The only downside, the parking can be hard to find. Read more
The restaurant stands up to its name, the best samosa I had in the states, pretty much reminded me of samosa I used to eat in... India. Highly affordable even when everything is getting expensive. I ordered Samosa Chaat: delicious made of 3 samosas withsweet and spicy chutney and chickpeas tomato onion mix, and serves more than one person(coming from a heavy eater), cheap for$8 Chapli Kabab: good portion to share as a side, good mix of spices in the mixture Jalebi: freshly made jalebi, a lb for $8,that?s a steal Samosa: Also bought 3 for $5 Samosa, a good takeout to have it afterwards to replenish the cravings. Good spicemixed potato filling. Sweet lassi: a good drink to soothe along with tasty food The only thing to keep in mind is the dishestakes long time to be prepared, suggestion would be ordering in advance as it takes about half an hour for them to be prepared. I always end up having masala dosas whenever I go to Newark Ave looking for Indian food. I wanted to try something different... this time, and I'm glad I picked this location and did my research beforehand by reading the reviews on Google. A 10/10 for thebutter chicken, garlic naans, and jalebi. Everything was delicious and fresh. I also brought some jalebis home, which everyoneloved and wanted more of. The samosas were a little too salty for me, so I wasn't a huge fan, and the butter chicken was alittle overpriced. Given how excellent their food is, I think they could absolutely do better with their presentation. Read more
