Located on Newark Avenue's pedestrian plaza, this little takeout place is a true gem. Chicken and lamb kebabs are super tender... and highly marinated; not dry or bland at all. The food is absolutely amazing and the service even better. I visited Gypsy Grill today after spending all day in the hospital... with my dad. I didn?t have much of an appetite and wasn?t feeling too well. The person at the counter graciously offers me asample of their delicious soup to help with my headache as I wait for my food. Once my food came, it not only looked and smelleddelicious, the taste was amazing! I ordered the chicken platter. It came with marinated Chicken, rice and salad. It truly hitthe spot. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT HAIR IN YOUR FOOD! I asked for a refund & the owner or whoever told me I needed to have the... food present in order to get a refund. I threw away the sand which in which he offered another one. But why would I want to takeanother sandwich if the first one had hair in it. The owner was VERY rude about it. This place was GREAT! From the taste of the food to the customer service, it was a 10/10 experience. I got the shawarma platter... - the food was so delicious and I was shocked to see how big the portion sizes were.
