This is the best place in jersey city by far!!! :) Coming from Manhattan I was really sad to not have a food spot or deli or... anywhere with top quality products. I?m beyonddddd happy I found Cangiano?s. It?s the only place in jersey city that I willhappily spend money. Their food is so fresh and top quality. Everyone who works there is friendly and they make you feel likefamily when you walk in. I?ll go here for a sandwich, pick up groceries if I want to splurge and I?ll grab gifts for friends.You can?t go wrong with anything they sell. I mean- they even make gift baskets during the holidays that have been such a hitwith my friends and family :) Not to mention their location is great. Food is delicious and the cuts of meat are fresh. Little expensive but definitely worth it
I was there on opening day and it was great, and it has only gotten better since then! Every-time i go i find something else... thats amazing. I have used their prepared foods to "cater" a dinner party when i got home later than expected, at the cold baryou can create a stellar antipasto spread with ease, and the bakery is so good. SUPER friendly staff, and the owners seem toalways be goign the extra mile. Read more
This is one of Jersey City?s shining gems!! Coming into this establishment is pure bliss; there are so many delicious foods... every which way you turn; it?s just incredible. Make sure you try the sandwiches from the deli! Some of the best I?ve ever hadin my life, no exaggeration! Everyone that works here is so kind and warm; I feel lucky to live in a neighborhood with suchimmaculate food and offerings. I highly recommend the pulled pork, broccolini, fig jam sandwich that?s offered on Wednesday?s,as well as the #22, (chicken, roasted red peppers, eggplant, cheese, balsamic), but you seriously can?t go wrong with anything;they are crafted masterfully. Had the chicken parm hero. There was a bone in the chicken. Never had anything like that happen but you can imagine biting into... something super hard when you?re not expecting it. It?s a shame too I barley ate half of my hero. Read more
In a city with so many highly thought of italian delis, Cangiano?s is a legit player. I stopped in for lunch on a Monday... afternoon, and it was plenty crowded inside (always a good sign). I told the guy behind the deli counter it was my first timeand that I would love a recommendation for his personal favorite sandwich. He made a few suggestions and I landed on the #17special with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and spicy fig jam. Delicious! The bread was so unbelievably fresh, and the sandwichwas the perfect balance of salty, sweet, spicy. It wasn?t a huge sandwich, but with quality ingredients, there wasn?t much tocomplain about. A favorite local sub shop of mine! My boyfriend and I always order for pick up and have not ran into any issues. Together we've... tried: #1 - Imported Prosciutto, Fresh Mozz, Sun Dried Peppers, Olive Oil & Balsamic Glaze #4 - Roast Beef, American Cheese,Lettuce, Tomato, Olive Oil & Balsamic #14 - Fried or Grilled Chicken, Fresh Mozz, Roasted Peppers, Olive Oil & BalsamicGlaze I'd have to say #4 is my favorite because it's light for a sub, comparatively to the other subs I've tried - which aregood as well! But a tad on the heavier side and also has peppers so has a bit of a kick to it. Definitely would recommend ifyou're around the area. Read more
You step in and it smells of fresh bakery. A great place for everyday shopping and quick snacks or small meal. Got a bagel with... egg and scallion cream cheese, the bagel was soft and fresh and overall tasted great. Read more
