The Central Ave. Location is One of the Three Original Blimpie Bases, probably the last one , the only one at it's original... location. This is the Blimpie Base you want for the real dining experience, you'll never get the flavor of one of these at anyother franchised locations. Never, ending most tasty sandwich, not Jersey Mike's, Not Jimmy John's, Not Subway, Do not wasteyour time there if you have a Blimpie in the neighborhood. Most delicious hero ever. Read more

A staple in the heights. Been opened for as long as I could remember(over 30+ yrs). Not much renovation or upgrade to modernize... has happened though. Most importantly, sandwiches are bomb. I Recommend a ?Blimpie Best? on white bread, mayo, lettuce,tomato,salt,pepper,oil,vinegar. Can?t go wrong! This particular franchisee didn?t accept blimpie coupons years ago, not sureif it?s the case today. Prices have naturally gone up and it?s about $17-18 for a giant size(feeds 2). Read more
Giving 5 stars because I want THE sandwich I grew up on. Classic #2 with "everything" being tons of thin lettuce, a couple... tomato and onion , a lil salt n pepa oil vinegar oregano . The only mayo was tuna salad or a custom request but NEVER assumedon an italian combo. Hoboken was fairly close but today these jersey mike's are weak and subway is usually a why bother unlessit's free. So if it's still great I will be there tomorrow ? Read more
This is the best Blimpie base in Jersey City. It's clean and the staff is awesome, ingredients are super fresh. I traveled from... the other side of the city to go here and I don't drive. It's totally worth it trust me. Read more
To everyone giving a negative review about this Blimpie. I have been going there for 20 years and I have never had a problem.... They've courteous and respectful. As for them being racist, they are not. I'm Dominican and I have nothing but positivity comingfrom their establishment. I'm happy to call them my neighbors.. Read more
Blimpie is old school, slicing the meat as it is ordered, making for a fresh delicious sandwich. The bread is nice and soft and... the toppings were plenty. My hubby got a BB, and I got a Club and they were both delicious. My only complaint if I had onewould be the need more variety of diet drinks in their cooler. I settled on a diet snapple, but would have been happier witha diet Stewart's root beer (seemed like they had every variety but that one). Anyway you can't beat Blimpie for a greatsandwich! Read more
