Reviews for H Noodle House ???? in Jericho, NY
Two things I should mention before I begin my short review: 1. I am a strict vegetarian and therefore will only eat items that... are not cooked in a wok or made in a fryer used to cook meat, poultry, or fish. This limits my menu in any Chinese restaurantto cold sesame noodles and steamed vegetable dumplings. 2. When I walked into H Noodle House for the first time ever tonight, Iwas surprised to learn that it is owned by one of my favorite families from the community center/pre-school in which I haveworked for several years. The latter may be the reason the owner was willing to make me a dish that isn't really on the menu, even on a busy Saturday night. In what was the kindest, most thoughtful thing anybody has done for me in a while, she actuallytold me to go away for twenty minutes and come back for my cold sesame noodles. I have a feeling she may have Googled a recipewhile I was gone, but that's exactly what makes H Noodle House the kind of place everyone should want to visit! Although thechef's first attempt at cold sesame noodles was different from what I am used to, they were tasty and full of personality. Theportion was also more than ample! My steamed vegetable dumplings were perfect, like the ones I used to get at the now-historicEmpire Szechuan of Syosset. A good dumpling without meat is rare around this area. Most restaurants make their vegetabledumplings too thin and with barely any stuffing. H Noodle House's vegetable dumplings were plump, tasty, and had just the rightamount of filling. When I got to my car, I noticed that the owner had snuck a sample container of tofu & vegetable soup into mybag. After I spilled most of it all over myself and my car seats (my fault), I got to taste a few mouthsfull and liked it verymuch. I was initially leery that it might contain a chicken broth base but I knew immediately that it was just water, which isthe only way I will eat soup. So while my opinions of menu items that most of you would c Read more
A true hidden gem. They have a good selection of entrees, noodles, and appetizers. Th environment feels like an interesting... blend of a coffee shop and a restaurant. All the dishes are delicious, authentic, and freshly cooked. Highly recommend their dimsum and fish dishes. Read more
Was looking for Sichuan flavored dishes and found a perfect spot!
- The soft tofu dish is absolutely delicious: the tofu is smooth, melts right in your mouth. The touch of traditional Chinese... sesame sauce drizzled around the bowl is brilliant, it added the depth of the whole dish. - The wonton soup is amazing: thewontons are fresh, nicely proportioned. The dried shrimp definitely enhances the flavor of the soup, together with seaweed andscallions. Perfect spot for breakfast & lunch. Would love to try dinner here sometimes too. Read more
Got two bowls of noodles, two appetizer s, and two bottle drinks. $63 was the bill. $15 for the noodles, $9 and $11 for the... appetizers and $8 for two bottle drinks ($1 each next door at supermarket, no price tag on the drink, though $2 or $3 tops) andtax. I was like, with that price tag better be something good . The jellyfish and cucumber, nothing special my wife makesbetter ones. The garlic spicy pork belly. Very disappointed. Just thick boil slice and cover with the sauce. Not authentic atall. Tried a good one in flushing and compare to this. 1 star. Main course for the beef noodle. Two very thin slice of beefand thin slice of tendon. 1 vegetable slice in 2 along with the egg. $15 for this? Really? That's like the price of a Japaneseramen and pho, which have way more meat and thick slices. It's a decent soup noodle that doesn't get me for second. And it'sover priced. It's like paying $15 for a soup middle at a mall food court. Read more

This place served up a nice hot bowl of noodle soup on a cold night. The menu is a little hard to read and doesn't explain... everything that's in the dish. The restaurant itself was nice and the staff were friendly. When I went to order, there were alot of items that were unavailable. It's understandable for our time, but it's a digital menu. . Just remove it. The soup itselfwas tasty. The beef was flavorful, the noodles were super fresh, and the broth was spot on. The egg was a little over boiled, but that's okay. It was tasty. I can't wait to try another dish on another cold night. Read more
