A trip to Jekyll Island is never complete without a visit to Red Bug Pizza. On our recent visit we sat inside for the first... time due to inclement weather. Great food and excellent customer service! They?re right next to the putt putt course, so easy to locate. Haven?t had a bad... meal there! Excellent pizza and Greek salad. We got two small pizzas and the cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was thin but tasty. The pizzas were medium thick with a crisp... crust that we really liked. They hit the spot. We ate indoor at 2pm and were all by ourselves. We appreciated the cool A/C, theserver was very attentive, and the food came out quickly. Loved it! Took a minute to find due to Maps & pure user error, but once we did it was easy. They deliver! So you may want to go... that route. Located beside the putt-putt and playground, the restaurant is the small brick building to the side. Perfectlocation for a longer wait. It has a walk up window for take-out and a few picnic tables for eating outside. They do have adining room and full menu, but it wasn't open when we arrived (a Tuesday at 7:00 PM). Nevertheless they were packed. We sawtheir delivery driver come and go at least 4 times while were there. Each time loaded down with boxes and bags of garlickygoodness. My party ordered a Greek salad to share and it was one of the best I've had in a while. Lots of feta cheese, deliciousolives, and the dressing was amazing. We also ordered a small pepperoni for a teen- it had about 6 slices and was so good sheate all but one. The adults shared a Red Bug Special and it was delicious. Crispy crust and so loaded with toppings they felloff. It was so good that 2 hours later we raided the fridge and shared another slice before bedtime. If you love a good coldpizza the next day, this is your spot! We can't wait to go back, but will do delivery so we can stay at the beach and enjoy thesunset with our slices! Read more
This was amazing pizza and better than most I?ve had. It?s a cute family owed pizza place that make great pizza and also rent... out gift cart near the airport. I recommend coming here if you want a quick bit to eat. Read more
Yummy food. Pretty amazing joint out on the island. You have to try the Alfredo cheesy bread. Delicious. I?d give it 5 stars but... the staff was quite disorganized and it was a bit chaotic. Would come back for sure. Read more
We ordered Pizza and got it delivered. One of the two pizzas( Veggie) arrived with a piece missing. See the picture! Called the... pizza place and they simply refused to believe. He said he would believe if the pizza had stuff on it like hair but not that apiece was bitten out! Regret giving 20% tip. Should have checked before accepting or tipping. The only thing the owner would sayis that we can give you a new pizza... And what, wait another hour!!! BTW, the pizza that we did eat wasn't that great either.It wasn't horrible, but not great either. Read more
