Reviews for Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar in Jekyll Island, GA
High quality and cool how you can see the kitchen but not the best tasting and really expensive. Lobster in the mac and cheese... was great but the noodles had barely any sauce and wasn?t much more than buttered elbow noodles. Read more
Wife and I stopped in for dinner. Ordered the hush puppies and 2 entrees. Steak was cooked perfect and sides were very good.... Shrimp and grits also very good. Bar tender Jeremy was excellent. Read more
Eighty Ocean is a gem! The ambiance was quaint and elegant and the service was by far the best we've experienced on Jekyll... Island. The best part - the food! From specials to regular menu staples, each course was incredible - we might go back againbefore we leave this week! Read more
The interior is very pretty, and our server was friendly. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant but we will not... return. The angry mussels were okay, but several were not opened, which is disappointing when there are only a handful to startwith. The paella which we spent $65 on was just okay. It was missing the mussels and the presentation was certainly lacking.Would not recommend. We watched my son?s kids meal sit for over 10 minutes before they brought our food out so the fries werenot warm. Would definitely spend my money at The Reserve instead. We love trying new restaurants and are happy to spend goodmoney doing it, but this place was incredibly underwhelming. Not worth it in my opinion. Read more
Fantastic food and excellent service. We did not have reservations for dinner and originally came to have a few drinks at the... bar. Had a couple wines and charcuterie at the bar. Service and food was excellent. Then we realized we wanted to have dinnerthere because the ambiance was so nice. The hostess got us situated at a great table with a nice pool view. Our waiter was Alexand he is top notch! Gluten allergies make dining difficult but he gave excellent recommendations and the snapper was delicious.Husband had half chicken which he also loved. Highly recommend this venue! Read more
Bit disappointed, didn't get the full menu. I was looking for more of the seafood menu during lunch. Bit spendY for burgers... and fries. Read more
This restaurant is probably the nicest restaurant on Jekyll Island. At the time we went it was only open to resort guests and... it was packed every night. I would highly recommend making reservations weeks in advance if you want to dine at prime times, though it?s usually wide open for breakfast. Their breakfast menu was one of the most unique and creative menus I have everseen. The French toast biscuits were absolutely incredible along with the waffles, grits, and everything else. We ate hereevery morning for breakfast during our stay. The ambience at dinner was great, and the menu was just as creative. It made foran excellent date night. Overall, very impressed with this place and can?t wait to come back! Read more
Great food and over the top service. We had our anniversary dinner and they treated us with the best care ever. A romantic table... setting. With candle light and a sign wishing us a happy anniversary. We both had the seafood pasta and the kale salad. Alsoshard an order of the papa bravas. Food was good and very delicious we finished the meal with a peach cobbler with a scoop ofvanilla ice cream. A bit pricy and may find good food a little cheaper on the island. However for a special night it was worthevery penny. Hey I travel all over and finding places to eat or explore. Follow me if you like. Read more
