Mediocre at best. They served my dish with chips broken from the plate (see pic). I had pasta with mussels. The mussels were... rubbery, cold and obviously precooked which makes them a health hazard. I am entertaining local clients that live here and Ididn’t want to offend them by sending my dish back. Read more
Went hoping to grab some food on our lunch hour, took 30 minutes to have the order taken and another 30 to get food(we only... ordered one burger with fries for me and a salad for her) ended up having to ask for the check and togo boxes the moment theyput the plates on our table. There was only one server working, and she was having a visibly difficult time on her own.Management needs to step up and take on some of the waitstaff responsibilities when they are shorthanded. Im certain whomeverwas in charge of the floor that day could have been taking orders and running food, and if not, maybe you shouldn't be managinga restaurant. This is the best restaurant in Jefferson City. I have had no meal short of amazing here. Service is prompt and friendly, and the... intimate environment makes for a great date night. Also, they post their daily specials on Facebook. Tonight, I enjoyed the duckbreast with braised carrots and Irish colcannon potatoes. Read more

The Grand Cafe is a eclectic place for casual dining in the heart of the Capitol City, Jefferson City, Missouri. The menu... offered a good array of options from which to choose. I ordered the BLT Wrap with the House Fries. My partner ordered theCubano Panini with the House Fries. Both of us felt the fries were okay, but not warm enough to taste and lacked a crispnessand saltiness one might expect of a higher quality French Fry. The service was exceptionally good, and yet we did not learnthe Server’s name until we saw it on the check. I ordered the Gooey Butter Chocolate Brownie with a side scoop of vanilla icecream. It was not only beautifully plated and presented, but delicious AND expensive. Be certain you inquire about the pricesof desserts BEFORE you order as mine was as much as what I ordered for lunch. It was ample, but not of such quality thatwarranted the price. Overall, this is a good, casual dining location in the State Capitol. Seating was comfortable, and thedining area clean. They may want to consider refinishing the metal ceiling as while it is distressed painting, it may appearto some dining customers to be peeling paint. Parking on Saturday was not bad, but go early. Went here for our Friday night family dinner. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. I had the fillet, it was... cooked perfectly and one of the best I've ever had. We did not know that you should make a reservation but they were able tofit us in. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Read more
