We have a soft spot for this "Southern Food" chain. That said it's nice when you can do a family style meal and shareables. Unfriendly, too many restrictions on ordering. We typically will order the ?chicken only special? of the day, and request a mix... of legs and wings. We go to their two restaurants in Springfield MO, which have no problems in accommodating us. This Popeyeshowever, makes no effort in accommodating their customer?s wishes. Overall, my experience is bad. From the emptiness of the lot and drive thru I was expecting to get served quickly. After waiting... at the pickup window a few mins, an employee asks for my order again. I ordered a 10pc nuggets with sauce only? I get my foodafter a long wait still. It tasted OK, but it was also my only meal in 24+ hrs....but about 3-4 hrs later I'm sick. You don'tneed all the descriptive details, and if you do, go eat at this place. The food and service might be good, but our family didn't eat here. We had a strange experience and decided to eat elsewhere. ... There was a sign on the door saying they were out of macaroni and cheese, apple pie, and biscuits. I asked if they offered asubstitution for the biscuit, because it is normally included with a meal. I was told that they're not able to do that, becausethey're almost out of everything! I asked if they give a discounted price on the meal but was told no, because "the biscuit iscomplimentary with the meal". How ridiculous. The food was good, as always. The service was friendly but we didn?t everything we needed. We asked for ketchup but we got 19... packets of hot sauce. We got no silverware. We did go late on Labor Day night but they were out of a lot of their menu items.They had no fries, shrimp or Mac and cheese.
