Reviews for Olive Bistro & Lounge Inc in Jasper, AB
I got the slow braised lamb shank and my boyfriend got the fried chicken and brie sandwich. Both were INSANELY delicious - the... lamb was so soft it fell off the bone just using the side of my fork. Very nice ambiance as well. Our waitress was incrediblynice. Read more
This was such a disappointment. I ordered the French onion soup per the waitress? recommendation and it was average at best (it... tasted like Costco frozen French onion soup) and my mom ordered the fish and chips that lacked any salt. We asked for some saltfrom the waitress that never came, but since it took forever to receive our bill, we just gave up. For a restaurant thatadvertises itself as fresh and local, a lot is wanting. Go instead to the restaurant atop Whistler Peak if you actually wantdelicious and local food. Read more
My friend and I ate here earlier this week while I was visiting. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had burgers. They have... gluten-free options, which is important as my friend cannot eat gluten. The staff are friendly and helpful! Read more
Wasn't impressed by the Red Curry Chicken Bowl I ordered. I couldn't taste the curry flavor and the chicken was dry.
Loved our dinner here. Always nice when you can tell owners really care about the details..beautiful flower displays on a heated... patio with mountain views, great wine menu and food, tasteful decor. You know it's a good spot when many of the patrons arelocals. Highly recommend! Read more

Chunky's Soup & a cold, wet, sad, late burger The positives: - Drinks were good. I had the G&T which was excellent. My party... had the Blue Lagoon, and a strawberry mojito. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. - Patio was cute, very welcoming. Nice lights andgood heating as we were sitting outside at night time. - Decent service, sincere waiter. Offered alternatives when we weren'thappy with our meal. The negatives: - The kitchen only prepared one of our burgers, so I had to wait for them to make mineafter the other meals arrived. - Presentation was not appealing, especially after the long wait. I had a feature burger (pictureattached), and my party had the bison gnocchi which resembled a Campbell's Chunky soup you'd find at the supermarket... - Theburger was fine. The bison gnocchi was extremely dry and chewy, arrived cold, and tasted awful. Only redeeming quality was thecheese curds on top. - We arrived at 8:15 and left at 9:40, of which 90% was spent waiting. - Price is extremely unreasonable. The gnocchi was $32. Luckily the server took it off our bill, yet we still ended up paying $86 for two burgers and threedrinks. Overall it was a bad meal. Save your money and go somewhere else. Read more
Been meaning to write a review for this place since I took my wife there back in May. This place was awesome, best dining... experience we had while in Jasper. Food was fantastic - one of the best steaks I?ve ever eaten. So often I find restaurantsthat tout ?farm to table? as an excuse for overpriced small portions. The price point was upper end dining but we were bothvery satisfied with the meal. The view on the patio is great and the fire table was perfect. If you want a nice dinner spotfor your lady cal ahead and book the fire table outside. Ended up chatting with the owner sitting at another table (unbeknownstto us at the time). Was friendly and clearly passionate about the place. As I said was the best dining experience we had whilein Jasper. I wish I went back there all 3 nice dinners out compared to the other mediocre ones we had after. Read more
