My only reason for not giving the National 5 stars is that soup/salad and bread did not come with the meal. The waitstaff was... excellent and the food was also. We will be back. Read more

Cindy, our server, was awesome. The food was perfectly prepared. And the sourdough, baked in house, OMG. And my margarita was... tasty. Thank you. See you again soon. Read more

We were driving through Jamestown recently and were lucky enough to find the National Hotel! It was an overall great experience.... Cold beer, delicious food and friendly staff that made us feel at home. Would recommend to all! From the two kiwis. Read more

I stayed at this absolutely beautiful hotel last week. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I was a lone female... traveller and they made me feel safe and welcome. The rooms are perfect, comfortable and full of character. Read more

Had a party of 20 for dinner last night and it was fantastic! The Staff is very friendly and very attentive! The service could... not of been better. They were very accommodating to last minute requests, food was timed perfectly (yes I notice things likethat), the servers always had smiles on their faces and the whole event (retirement party) was great!!! Do not hesitate to bookan event here, they are great. Read more

Excellent hotel and restaurant. We came in a bit late, and while the restaurant was already closing down, they were still happy... to open back up and prepare us a meal, which was delicious - highly recommend the tortellini. Staff was very friendly. Altough abit dated (which is to be expected since it?s an 1850?s styled hotel), the rooms are clean and comfortable. The resident ghostdid not bother us. No complaints - only nitpick is the global airconditioning which turns on and off. Did not bother me, but itwoke my wife a couple of times. Read more

We stayed at National hotel for 1 night after visiting Columbia State Historic Park. The hotel is one of the oldest hotel in... California. The building is beautiful both outside and inside. We stayed in room number 5 which is a queen room with privatebathroom and shower. The room is decorated nicely. There were journals for guests to write things down and we had fun readingwhat hotel guests wrote, it went from 1992-2022! The staff said some rooms had journals from 1970! All the staff were nice, especially, Rhonda, the bartender. We didn?t experience ?Flo?, the friendly ghost but the hotel did give us the feeling like wewere in the past. We had dinner at the hotel. The food could have more flavor but we loved the vibe, the wine and all the staff.Jamestown was very cute little town, too. We had fun in all antique stores and took a train at Railtown, State Historic Park. Read more

Would definitely eat here again. The patio dining was nice and they brought us a bowl of water for our dog. Salad wasn't very... impressive but the rest more than made up for it- pasta was delicious, and the main attraction was the flambeed dessert weordered. They prepared it right there in front of us, which was a lovely bit of post-lunch entertainment! Read more
