The food is not authentic but okay. The staffs are nice but talk too much and they were not present when I needed. My pad thai... was acceptable but a little too sweet. The noodles were cut short in the cooking process (bad luck for Asian) and it makes ithard to eat. Buddha sampler is nice to share between group. Don?t order draft beers. It?s either they don?t do a propermaintenance or there is something wrong with the machine. For the quality, it?s overpriced. Cleanliness is also questionable. Idouble cleaned my utensils. Read more

The food is very delicious here. The restaurant is off and on with how good it is, but most recipes are consistently delicious.... Emerald green curry and the crispy fish garlic dish are our favorites. They also make a great lychee martini and all the Thaibasics are great. Read more

Disappointed! This place used to serve tasty Thai dishes on linen tablecloth?s in a charming ambiance. Went out Thursday evening... on a date with my granddaughter and I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. Tasteless!! Our appetizer platterwas over cooked. My duck lacked flavor and a breast, Only served the leg portion. Vegetables bland, could of used salt at theminimum. And a very Small serving of Shrimp fried rice. For $70 plus a 20% tip, $84.00, not worth it, don?t waste your money. There are too many classier, tastier Thai restaurants around. Read more

The Buddha Thai Bistro restaurant is near the back of a shopping center and would be easy to miss. The exterior is not... ostentatious or even eye catching. But, for anyone who wants to experience a good Thai restaurant, taking the time to locate itis worth the trouble. Of course, there are statues of the Buddha (see photos). That adds to the charm of the decor. The tablesare what one might expect in a restaurant that is in the business of providing good food more than an upscale diningexperience. On this occasion, I ordered a lunch special from the menu page entitled "Thai Lunch Box". I like Pad Thai very muchand ordered this dish with duck. There was an extra $5.00 charge but the duck addition was unique. I had never seen it before ina number of places that serve pad thai. The pad thai with the duck was good but I would probably opt for shrimp or chicken or acombination. The duck had fat on each piece that I sliced off and ended up with a fairly large pile of that on my plate. Theeffort was worth it as the duck was tasty but would not go to that trouble in the future. The seafood stuffed salmon croquettewas also very tasty. It is not like a regular piece of salmon served in a restaurant (hence, the name "croquette") so that mayimpact a decision to order this particular dish. The taste, with the variety of seafood included, also varies from a traditionalAmerican salmon dish. There is an extensive menu available so there is something that will appeal to anyone that likes Thaifood. The servings at dinner are more extensive and often more complex dishes. There are also tea selections available and thehot green tea was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall, this was a very favorable experience and, when inJacksonville again, I would definitely consider returning?perhaps to try some of the other dishes such as the ribs on the dinnermenu which sounded excellent. My friends and I really enjoyed the food. In addition to the plates in the pictures, we tried the sampler appetizer and Tom Kha... Gai soup. My suggestion is that you don?t go for dinner when you?re in a hurry as the food takes times to come out but it?sworth the wait. For us, it was a great overall dining experience because the atmosphere was very relaxed and allowed time for usto catch up without feeling rushed. Read more
