Interior is a bit tired, and the orders sometimes come out wrong (sliced instead of pulled or chopped), but the food is tasty... (especially the vegetables) and a decent vslue. I believe this is the Original Woody's location. It's been there since the mid'80s, anyway. Read more

Picked up a 20.00 dinner, was given ONE sauce and when i asked for another was told they were now .69 cents additional! In... years past they always gave you too many which was kind of wasteful. When we got home, we realized woman had not put the bakedbeans in the bag! I can understand a mistake like this if they were busy but there was ONE table inside when we went in! icalled on the phone and it rang and rang and rang. This was a $17 plate of ribs?? 4 bones that were about 6 to 8 inches long and over-cooked. Ordered on UberEats and they didn?t... send sauce. Myself in my family went and enjoyed a wonderful meal. The beef loin was between medium and medium rare which was perfect the... turkey was dead on not dry. My husband's pork was very juicy. The homemade fried squash was so good and it's just something youcan't find anywhere else. The tea was very fresh our server Teresa was amazing. This review is for a takeout order not of a restaurant experience. I ordered a full slab of spare ribs. Overall these ribs were... very disappointing. The meat was clearly not smoked to the normal standard. They were extremely tough and only had theslightest hint of a smoke ring. If I were to guess I would say these were placed in a smoker for external color and quicklymoved to an over to bake. With so many authentic BBQ restaurants in Jacksonville it is important for even chains to rememberQUALITY matters. Read more
