UPDATE: (see bottom for initial review months ago) Downgrading from 5 to 2 stars due to consistency. I order the same thing-... large Greek salad with gyro meat (I used to order this 3-4 times a week) but they lack consistency so now I go once amonth. For example, Sometimes the: Lettuce is chopped, sometimes it is almost entire leaves. Gyro meat is shaved, sometimes itis chopped incredibly fine it?s difficult to get on your fork. There is bread, then sometimes there is none. Same with theolives. I order from them once a month now. It?s not worth the frustration of eating a giant romaine leaf with tiny bits ofmeat falling off of it and no warm, soft bread to enjoy. Please fix this problem!!! Your customers beg you! ???? Originalreview: Large Greek salad with gyro meat-Yum! Huge portion, amazing flavor and great value. I order this several times a weekonline and occasionally dine in. Their large salad and gyro meat or chicken skewers are consistently delicious. I never have abad experience here. Not a lot of interaction with the staff but they always seem helpful and friendly. I highly recommend TheGreat Greek! Read more

Served cold. The meat is weird, see pic. All in all disappointing. The Greek place in Durban crossing serves hot or at least... warm sandwiches and the gyro meat is real. This place is perfect for those that don?t know what a good gyro is. Maybe theywill improve. Read more

Stopped in for a quick Greek snack. Tried the stuffed grape leaves, tzatziki and pita and they were all fresh and delicious. ... It?s such a breath of fresh air to have a great Greek restaurant in the neighborhood now. The counter staff is friendly andsmiling. The decor is clean and modern with polished concrete floors. I?ll be working my way further into their menu soon. Read more

Great place! It really surprised me because I haven?t had Greek food in Jacksonville that I?ve actually enjoyed until this... place. We had a Greek Salad with salmon and a beef gyro. Everything was super fresh and the taziki wasn?t overly garlicky. Iwant to come back again tomorrow! Read more

Great food, great service! We didn't realize it closed at 5. We got there about 4:20. As we were finishing up, quite a few... people were coming in as they were closing....still the owner and staff were polite and graciously waited on the customers. Read more

Let's keep this review simple and to the point. It's good! It's what you would expect. My wife said she loved it and could eat... it every day. I could end the review like that, I enjoyed it. If you want a bit more detail, the spankopiya was one of theflakiest and freshest I've ever had, above expectations and it was quick to the table. The level of effort: it seemed that theemployees wanted to do a great job. We had to wait for just a bit, but I didn't feel like it was too long considering it's a newlocation for the establishment and having new employees learn the ropes, a small amount of additional wait time isexpected. The picture is of the beef and lamb gyro. I was told it's a 90-10 split between beef and lamb. It was great, noproblems with it. The feta fries, a bit over the top, but it was good. Honestly the crispness of the fries was spectacular and Ienjoyed the crispy fries more than the feta and cheese bit of it, be mindful that I don't eat very much cheese anymore so takewhat I say about cheese with a grain of salt. Lastly, the price was a bit much for what we got. From the enjoyment of the mealand the convenience, the price felt justifiable. I didn't give 5 stars because it's a soft opening and really just felt likeit. Nothing in particular just the overall enjoyment of the meal, the initial impressions and taste; it was just good. A stableabove par eatery, but it's been maybe an hour and I already forgot the taste of everything but the danish and warm breads. Read more
