Stopped for dinner and so glad we did. The empanadas were a great starter. As a family of four, we shared butter chicken, a goat... dish, chickpeas, chicken Tikka kabob, a garlic naan, and an onion naan. Everything was delicious. Also had the gulab jamun fordessert and an Indian coffee. Will definitely come back again. Read more

Love this place!!! Having now had food from here multiple times I’m remiss in posting a review and some photos. Never had... anything but spectacular food here, both dine in and delivery. Actually prefer to dine in since the staff is amazing. Flavorsare awesome and they are totally willing to accommodate spice levels. This is our new go to for Indian food in the area! Read more

We had dinner at Taste Of India tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala and... two different kinds of Naan, (chili and garlic). Both of the entrees we\'re amazing and popping with spices and flavor. Iordered the Chicken Vindaloo extra spicy and they definitely brought on the heat! This was probably one of the better ChickenVindaloo dishes I have ever had. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a nice contrast to the spicy Vindaloo as it was made with creamand fenugreek. The naan was also delicious.\n\nThis place will probably be our \"go to\" for Indian food. Everything wasperfect with nice size portions and reasonable prices. Read more

The first thing about this place is the most amazing aroma when you enter. It delights the nose and the whole dinner tonight was... one led by the aromas that highlighted the robust flavors that we had this evening.\n\nThe atmosphere is bright and comforting,if plain. The service is very friendly and quick as well.\n\nThe menu selection is excellent for those who are vegetarian, butthey have a nice selection of lamb, chicken, and goat as well. The food is served family style of a sorts and the portions arevery ample. My partner and I easily shared our food and have lots of leftovers.\n\nFirst was the Samosa Chat which was anexcellent starter full of bright spices curbed with a hint of fresh fruit chutney and the crisp samosas and seasonedchickpeas.\n\nNext we had a Paneer Biryanis, there Naan that had the onions stuffed in it (Which was addicting), and had thePaneer Mirkahin (Probably spelling that wrong.) The spice levels were excellent and the aroma coming off the food made me hungerfor more. Really you eat with the nose first here.\n\nThe place was very friendly and the food excellent and very authentic. They make their own paneer here as well.\n\nPlease check this place out when you need a good night out at very reasonable pricestoo for some excellent Indian cuisine!\n\nUpdate: This place is still amazing, even after quite a few more visits. Food andservice are both wonderful. Make sure to order a Mango Lassi as well, it\'s not listed on the menu but they are a deliciousbeverage that is a cooling counterpoint to the spices of the cuisine.\n\nThey have specials on the weekend including severaldifferent versions of Puhlow, which I\'m pretty sure I\'m spelling wrong. Indian restaurants can be hit or miss for Indian people because we know the food and what it should taste like. While I love the... idea of fusion Indian food, most of the time, I want the real deal spicy comfort food, not a fancy version.\nThis place is thereal deal. Their appetizers are delicious and addictive! We had the gobi manchurian (fried crispy saucy cauliflower) and a friedcrispy version of baby corn that blew my mind. If you’re a meat eater, go for the dry garlic chicken bites or the chillychicken or chicken manchurian!\nI haven’t tried their biriyani yet because I’m trying to get through their naan offeringsfirst. These are made to order and so delicious and fluffy that you’re going to forget your carb counter. We had green chilli, garlic, green chilli-cheese, cheese, and a very special Kashmiri version. My favorite was the the garlic naan but the Kashmirinaan was new to me with its slightly sweet flavor. I’d definitely get that again for the table.\nThey have the usual Indiancurries, but try the interesting ones like tender lamb (Roghan josh) and goat kheema (ground goat meat). All delicious.\nTheservice is attentive and friendly where they actually come out to ask you how you like the experience. If you’ve been to theIndian restaurants here, you know that’s not the norm.\nWaiting for their bar to open so I can try out their take on thepresidential drinks from the fun mural that they have up on the wall.\nOh and a hot tip….ask for the tandoori grilled fish. Ibarely had time to take a picture before my companions dug in.\nPhew!! That was a lengthy post! But this is a great addition tothe SJC area. A little bit of a drive for me, but I don’t mind that for good food. Read more
