I was a little disappointed honestly. It has a nice atmosphere and vibe, very friendly staff too. We ordered the shipwrecked... shrimp as an appetizer and I will say that they are amazing! I ordered a combination plate with fried shrimp and fried scallopswith cheese grits and a baked potato for sides. The shrimp were good and the baked potato was good. I did not like the scallopsnor the cheese grits. My friend ordered Cajun fried shrimp and flounder. Her order came out wrong and it was taken care ofquickly by our waitress. My biggest complaint was the price. It was a very expensive meal that I just felt ?meh? about. When Ispend that kind of money dining out, I want to be completely impressed and I want to tell all of my people about the experience.I?m not feeling that way about this place. Maybe I just came on an off day?idk. Bottom line for me?too much money for thequality and quantity of food you get. Read more

Haven't been in a long time but it was as good as I remembered. Super! Keep up the good work. The only improvement I would... make is sharp cheddar in the cheese grits. It was kind of bland but overall was amazing, again. Read more

I was not impressed with the quality of the food or its service. I was hoping to have a great meal. I Ordered the crab legs, and... it's not fresh but frozen. Interesting since it's by Mayport seafood market. Drinks are average and food a bit expensive forthe amount you get with dishes. I'll try again in a couple of months if they improve. Read more

Came right at lunch. Took a minute to get seated and waited on but it was worth it. Has a charming rustic seafarer look. I had... ordered the fried oyster Po boy. Came about 6 to 10 minutes after ordering. But instead of fried oysters it was fried shrimp. The place was very busy and she may have been distracted when she put the order in so I didn't complain, I ate the shrimp po'boy and I have no complaints the food was delicious. I would definitely go again. Read more

We first learned about Singleton's last year after searching online, but they were closed for renovations, so we'd been... following the Facebook page and finally went to try it today, a beautiful Sunday, for lunch. It was pretty active but we wereseated quickly and decided to sit outside on the deck I wouldn't say the view is spectacular, but it's always nice to bewaterside. Our Server, Chris, was busy but very pleasant and informative. We were undecided between two cocktails, and herecommended the Purple Pelican. Great choice! It was delicious, and tho not overpowering, you could taste the rum in it. Quitea few of the menu items were "Market Price" so we weren't too sure how the final bill would be, but we were eager to try severalthings. We ordered a cup of clam chowder ($6) and a cup of Oyster Stew (MP @ $12). I'm from New England, which might'veinfluenced my taste buds, but I didn't like the chowder at all. It was very thick, tasted like cream of chicken soup withpotatoes, and was too salty. The Oyster Stew was pretty much a milk broth with butter, not much flavor. It was loaded withoysters, but they were all very bitter, not really edible. Both soups were left mostly uneaten. The other items we orderedwere Conch Fritters, a pound of Steamed Shrimp, and the Fried Squash Appetizer. The conch fritters were small, maybe the sizeof a ping pong ball, 6 to an order and wonderful. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside with decent bits of conch, served with amustard-horseradish sauce. The Fried Squash had a light cornmeal batter and perfectly cooked without being greasy. The ranchdipping sauce was thin and creamy, a perfect accompaniment. The shrimp were smallish but also very good, had a dusting of OldBay but not so much that it overpowered the shrimp. Just a little difficult to peel, but tasted very fresh. The bill came in at$86 before a $15 tip. A little on the high side considering $18 was wasted on uneaten soups. Still, if we are in Read more

Read some of the reviews about the great food, and was not disappointed. Really good shrimp dinner! Obviously very fresh. The... grilled scallops also looked very good. It?s a little rustic, but the food makes up for everything else! Worth the drive! Read more
