Secret little whole in a wall type place w/ scrumptious food. Great wait~staff. Black bean soup was delicious. We got the fried... green tomatoes appetizer, the fried green tomatoes half~salad and the fried green tomatoes on his eggs~benedict. The marmaladesauce is so delightful w/ the flavor of the tomatoes and they hold their crunchiness. Thank you Angela. We shall be back,one~day. Read more

My husband and I wanted to do Easter brunch, so we decided to give this gem of a place a try. We definitely made the right... choice! The service was fantastic. Our server Yury was extremely friendly and polite. Now, let's talk about the food. Beforeyou this earth, you MUST their caramel peacan waffles! ???? ???? They are the little squares of heaven. The balance betweenthe cinnamon butter and caramel sauce is pure perfection! You will not need syrup, just a nap from eating all of thatdeliciousness.... Heading back to brunch this Sunday!???? The Secret Garden Cafe is located on Beach Blvd. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable of... the menu. I got the fried green tomatoes, the tomatoes were over fried, also the batter was rather thick. I did enjoy bothdipping sauces. The biscuit and gravy was my absolute favorite. I just wish it would have came out hot. The kids menu had a niceselection and my daughter enjoyed the waffles with bacon. The cinnamon butter was savory. I love that they have honey as anoption for the waffles and pancakes. I will definitely be back because the menu has a lot of interesting entrees that I want totry. Read more

I met an old friend here for brunch and fell in love with this hidden gem. It's cozy and perfect considering it's in a shopping... center off the main strip. I ordered the Secret Garden Bene which is eggs Benedict on English muffins with bacon and friedgreen tomatoes! It sounds as good as it tasted too. Rich and creamy sauce with a tangy tomato bite. Plus the bacon brought it toanother level all together. I'm in town on vacation and wish we had a Secret Gadrden where I'm from. I'll definitely be backnext time I'm in Jacksonville. Read more
The Hot Mess was great. Sausage gravy took it over the top. Service was good, also. They serve the toast unbuttered, though I... asked for it buttered. The bare concrete floors are overdue for fresh paint, and the chairs are absolutely filthy from manyyears of being handled. They keep sections of the dining area closed even when they at full capacity and people are waiting fora table. WTH? Read more
What a great little odd place! Odd because of the small town Cafe vibe- but in a strip mall in Jax. I you're wanting that... home-cooked wholesome kind of breakfast/lunch, skip the chain restaurants and go see these lovely peeps.
