Reviews for Ruz Bukhari Grille And Hookah Lounge in Jacksonville, FL
Food was very good. We had the buffet items. Everything was fresh and the meat options were very tender!
I went there 30 minutes before close, food was made fresh and piping hot! It was so hard to drive it home without tearing into... it????????????! Lamb & chicken kebabs delicious! Tabouli amazing, as was the complimentary baklava he let me try. The honey wasoozing out as you bite into! Must must must go for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine! I?m stuffed but can?t stop!!! Also greatservice, friendly owners! Very reasonable prices! Read more
We saw the restaurant as we drove by, so we decided to check it out. It was a good decision! The lamb shank was... fall-off-the-bone tender, the beef kafta korma had a great flavor, and the Montoo appetizer was delicious! Prices are reasonablefor the portion sizes. We will definitely be back. And we'll save room for dessert next time! Read more
First off, I wanna start by saying, I mean no malice in this review, there are good and bad things. I am not sure if I will... return, though. I decided on this place as a nice lil date for me and my fiancee. I try to pick out places we have never been.So tonight I chose Levant Grill and Houkah Lounge. Upon entering, the atmosphere is very very quiet. It has a strange vibe, kinda reminiscent of an odd banquet hall of sorts, nothing really entertaining or engaging. In half of the restaurant, it seemedthey attempted to make a party/chill area with a few strings of multicolored lights and some couches. The bar is kinda small andoutdated. The floor of the restaurant was incredibly sticky. I went to find the restroom and there was only one, that I saw, themen's room, small, no lock on the door, no paper towels, and the dirty sink wouldn't drain. It was right across from anotherroom labeled "do not enter" but my curiosity made me peek around the already open door. A hoarder's paradise of random tools andsuch with a couch and blanket in it...wonder why? I don't pry much. Anyway, after the bathroom thing, I asked and they do haveanother. You have to ask where it is cause there's no sign! When we arrived there was a table full of guys and a guy at thebar. They left shortly after and I couldn't help but notice the table and bar stayed dirty throughout our entire stay. We triedthe buffet. The food was pretty good, not hot but not cold either. The tabouleh was my favorite and the chicken wings.EVERYTHING on the cold bar had this strange oil on top tho. (Refer to photo.) For how little business they had, it took foreverto get drink refills and hookah. We did feel rushed. This place closes at 11 pm but at 8 pm, they were breaking the buffetdown. Our hookah came nice and clean, tasted great. No issues there. We did see other customers come in and the atmosphereturned them off as well. They left within minutes of arrival. I feel if this place doesn't step up their game Read more
"I can't eat another bite" I said, and then they brought out the mensef. ???? Levant Grill is one of those restaurants where... absolutely everything is delicious. If you're a foodie like me, this should be on your list of places to try on Jacksonville. It's my favorite type of restaurant - family owned and run, and they take great pride and care in what they offer and itshows. Both the chicken and lamb kebabs are well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The schwarma wraps are better seasoned/moreflavorful than Mamoun's in NYC and that's saying something considering how good those are. The star of the show is the mensefand there's a reason there's a line of people waiting for it. The lamb is tender and perfectly cooked, and the rice pilaf withthe almond slivers compliment it so well. This is a dish I would happily pay $30 for just a plate. At the buffet price, it's anabsolute bargain for the quality you get. If you're vegetarian, for the buffet, the hummus, grape leaves, and baba Ganoush areall extremely tasty and satisfying. My favorite type of baba Ganoush is the one with a smokey flavor and this far, they have thebest tasting one in Jacksonville. For dessert, baklava, honey cake, and what I mistakenly thought was fig was a pastry dessertwith nuts and honey, and milk pudding. Everything is ridiculously delicious but the milk pudding, with a hint of rose water, ismy favorite by far. The service is phenomenal. On the weekends, the family chips in and helps and everyone is extremely helpfuland kind. Also, the negative reviews from more than 2 years ago should no longer be considered as there are new owners and thereviews seem to reflect the old restaurant. Read more
