I was kind of shocked when I went in and they were out of most things on the menu or some of their items were just nonexistent... despite being on the menu, they didn't have bone in chicken or ribs (which is like half of their entire menu) and some of thesides listed, they just didn't serve at all. (which I understand, the workers aren't in charge of what gets put on the menu orwhat the restaurant has in stock, but it I think that comes down to management and ownership.) The restaurant it's self wasclean and tidy, good sanitation, but the interior was nothing remarkable. when I got home with my takeaway they put the heavyback on top of a styrofoam box so it was completely crushed. The chicken sandwich was incredibly dry, like chewing into drywall.and the chicken breast just tasted like a regular Walmart chicken. In conclusion, there is much left to be done at this PolloTropical location. Read more

I am so done with this place, which is unfortunate because I like their menu a lot. However, they are constantly out of... everything. Sides, sauce, meat, drinks, everything. It's absurd. If you are constantly incapable of selling what you areadvertising then you are doing something very, very wrong. Every time I have visited, the staff is extremely rude, incompetent, snarky, and lazy. They certainly hate their jobs and it shows. How are they always out of everything? Probably laziness, theycan't be bothered to make anything. They also just leave items out of meals all the time, even when an item is supposed to comewith it. They are never consistent, except for being consistent failures. To the owner: Fix your store. There is no excuse toallow things to get this bad. You clearly aren't doing a good job. Get solid staff and make sure you aren't constantly out ofeverything on the menu. Remember what business you are in- food and customer service. Or did you forget? Seems like it. Read more

This location used to be awesome; but it seems that after it reopened after a shutdown for renovations, it lost all of its good... qualities. The lobby did not have the sauce/salsa bar for which Pollo Tropical is known, the staff was not trained on therestaurant's menu or offerings, and we received an incredibly scant amount of toppings on our Tropichop bowls. The lobby had nomusic, and we only heard the kitchen staff arguing. Finally, what must be due to staffing issues, we witnessed a customer havethe inside register closed in front of her and be told that she needed to order through the drive through or via mobile. I guesswe'll stick to the River City location. Read more

I don't give a one star review from a single experience. I always give the benefit of the doubt. When someone practically tossed... my drink at me, I didn't complaining. When I said have a good day to someone and they didn't respond because they were talkingabout someone else to a coworker, I didn't complain. When the inside was shut down because they were understaffed and doingdrive thru only, I didn't complain. But today when I stand there for 20 minutes on a very slow day, watching 7 people in theback stand around, text, eat from the food that they're making, etc., I've gotta complain. It isn't carelessness as much as anactive "F- you". I worked in fast food and I'm always kind to food workers. 20 minutes without being acknowledged, my meal comeswith beans and rice but I didn't get it, my wife got hers because those are her sides. I ordered two different sauces and gotneither. Did anyone say they were out of anything? No. Not a word. I won't be back or recommend this place to anyone until theyhave an entirely new crew that is even halfway committed to doing their jobs. Read more

I guess we can say goodbye to another Pollo Tropical location. Inside menu board was not functioning so customers had to order... from memory. Ordered half chicken with 2 sides and a drink. Was told there is no ice for the drinks. Ice machine has not workedfor a month. Really? The chicken was subpar. It was overcooked, extremely dry, and lacking any flavor. I feel bad for thoseworking there as their days seem numbered. Pollo Tropical used to be a great place to get some Latin inspired food. Now it isjust a lonely place among so many fast food options. Theresa (employee #451380) she don't gave me the drinks. When I ask, she gave me drinks with NO ICE. I parked beside the... restaurant and also found out there were no forks and the sweet plantains were burned to a crisp. I paid $25.64 for my son andmine's dinner and we are very disappointed with the lousy service. Read more

I guess this establishment went covid crazy and decided to sterilize its eating area to make it look like a hospital cafeteria.... When I used to think of Pollo Tropical is was bright and lively and made you feel welcome, now its just dismal and depressing. The food was on par with what I'd normally expect, good enough. The prices on the other hand are just getting unreasonable, likenearly eight dollars for a Cuban sandwich by itself! They could at least throw in a soda and a few yucca bites for that much.Just all around disappointing compared to my past experiences. Read more

Nasty restaurant. We had blood in our chicken. I'm only writing this post to help others. Please look at the chicken before you... eat it. Imagine how many other people ate the chicken without checking. Despicable. Serving raw chicken is a lawsuit. Read more
