Excellent food and service. 2 years ago I gave this location a poor review because of the bad service, today I stop at this... location again and I was very satisfied with the service and food. I appreciate when a business makes improvements to betterserve their customer. The restaurant was well staffed, the food was delicious and best of all, they made my visit apleasure. This is the furthest northern location on my way to Toronto Canada, from here I pickup delicious chicken for mychildren back home, a real treat for them. Read more
Not really impressed. I use to go to a Pollo Tropical in Dallas, TX area before they all closed down. So I thought I would stop... here at one in Jacksonville, FL. The chicken was dry. And they took long in the drive thru. Could have been a better experience.I can see why they didn?t last in TX. The bowls were good from what I remember. I?ll stick to that next time. Read more
Always delicious. If you don't know what to order try quarter chicken dark or white with black beans and rice, a small order of... fried plantain and a drink. They used to have a section where you could get your own salsa and seasonings they did away with it.All you need to do now is ask and they will give you some in a container. They also had self-serve drinks, not anymore. I'm notsure if it's free refills or not I didn't get seconds on my drink. I can see why they got rid of both, because of covid, andbecause people were making a mess, and taking drinks without paying for them. I moved over 10 years ago and miss this chain ofrestaurants they do not have them in North Carolina. I remember when they opened their first store in South Miami-Dade Countyprior to Hurricane Andrew. The food tasted okay, and the staff was friendly. But, as we were finishing our meal a small roach came crawling across the... table. I. Just. Can't. Around 3:00 a.m. we all became sick with stomach issues. It continued for about 12-14 hours. I can'tprove it was from our dinner, but it's the only meal that we all ate. I work nearby this restaurant and this was my place to go get lunch everyday. 6 years plus loyal customer. Unfortunately,... management decided to make each of their popular entrees, wraps and sandwiches individual items so that you have to buy side anddrink separately. Which of course makes Pollo Tropical as pricey as a higher end restaurant. Cannot get anything under $10.Definitely they have just lose another loyal frequent customer forever or until they can make their menu affordable. Just ordered delivery from their website but received incomplete order! Ordered chicken and pork duo with tomato side, but they... forgot to put the pork and tomatoes! My gf was also missing her sauces too! They messed up even though the delivery receipt wascorrect. Called them but only got voicemail. Bad service, don?t order delivery from them! Disappointed! I normally love this chain and have stopped almost every time I see one. If this would have been my first experience it would... have been my last. They served me dry overcooked chicken and they were out of 80% of their signature sauces, including the bestones which makes the meal. I was on the verge of asking for a refund on my first bite.
