I?m Cuban. The place is good. $15 a plate give or take ? the portions are big BUT ?? the tostones are terrible. Old and chewy. I... figured as much because I?ve seen pictures online and you can tell but I got them anyway and it was just as I suspected. Thenthe waitress didn?t want to take them off my check. The best Latin food restaurant in Jacksonville. The ambiance is what really sold us; the patrons were Cuban, most of the staff... was Cuban, Cuban images represented in the murals on the wall and Cuban music filled the bright and lively area. Our server,Nico, was outstanding and attentive. The food was amazing, five stars! We are only in Jacksonville for a few days but we willcome here on every trip back. My favorite Cuban place! Authentic Cuban cuisine; absolutely everything is DELICIOUS! We've been coming here for years whenever... we're in the Jacksonville area, and have ordered most everything on the menu by now -- all dishes are exceptionally tasty! Theappetizer Chicken Empanadas are amazing! We always get yellow rice with black beans, along with plantains for our sides nomatter which entrée we get. NEVER disappoints. Read more
