Reviews for Larry's Giant Subs in Jacksonville, FL
I just had an Italian beef sandwich from there, it was horrible they don?t cook the beef in the au jus. It was simply shaved... roast beef (not even good) on bread with a cup of burnt au jus sauce on the side, I mean really how do you burn au jus. I willnever eat there again over priced and extremely disappointed. Read more
I will never return to Larry?s. Sandwiches are mediocre at best. The service at this location is extremely rude, and just not... great at making a sandwich. I went in for the first time to support a local chain rather than Jersey Mike?s etc., but my orderwas made with mayo (I?m allergic) which I specified not to have on the sandwich three times. When I got home (25 mins away) theydid not even offer an apology. Instead, they said I could drive my sub back to have it remade? So because of your mistake I haveto drive 50 minutes round trip to get what I initially paid for. They stated this is COMPANY policy. For that reason I willnever return and will spend 20% less money supporting a much better establishment. ?We serve great food with integrity? is atotal joke. If service like this persists Larry?s will be out of business within 10 years. Read more
I have always got great food at Larry?s, this time however it wasn?t good. I ordered a Rueben turkey pastrami and when I got... home I took a bite and it had no sauerkraut on it so I took both halves apart and on half had a little kraut but none to speakof on the half I bit off of. I called to ask them about why the sandwich was so bad and the guy was Rude and huffy with me. Besure to check your order before you leave Larry?s, this Reuben was supposed to be on rye bread it?s in a hoagie roll, also ifyou don?t ask them for your pickle you won?t get one even though it says you will on the menu! Terrible customer service! Read more
I used to like this place but they have fallen off a lot. No longer will i eat here. Lately the vegetables have been so wilted,... molded, and nothing but fresh. This time i just pulled it off and ate the plane sandwich and still got food poison and threw itall up. As u can see the tomatoes and lettuce in the pictures should not have been served Read more
July 1st 2021We saw an add on a catering truck for Larry?s Giant subs that advertise gluten free breads, hormone free deli meats... amongst other things. We were so excited to see that because over 2 years ago My partner developed a rare disease known as MCASwhich has caused him to react in anaphylaxis to dairy, gluten, soy, and other things. For over two years we stayed home and atea restricted home cooked meal 3 times a day everyday. July 1st 2021 we decided to try Larry?s giant subs later in the night. Wecalled ahead to review his allergies and ensure that he was able to eat off of the menu. I believe his name was Allan and heserved us out food later that night with no issues whatsoever. We discussed our concerns while ordering and he remembered ourprior conversation and ensured our food to be good. And it was! No issues whatsoever. We were extremely content at the fact thatwe had found one of my partners favorite places in the past would accommodate to his new dietary needs. Today July 2nd 2021 heexcitedly wanted to have it again for dinner. After an extremely stressful week we decided to head there to get him dinner. Heordered the Italian sub on a gluten free bun with no dairy, no gluten no Italian dressing (due to it having allergens). The ladyat the front clearly asked ?is this preference or allergy?? We clearly stated he had allergy to dairy gluten and soy. We get ourfood and head home. Two bites in a piece of pepperoni falls out and as he goes to put it back in sub he realizes there?s cheeseattached and calls out to me. I taste test the slice and tasted cheese and I find more slices of cheese in whole sub!!!!! Iimmediately run to his epipen and antihistamines and hand them over. I call and try to get in touch with corporate but theycan?t seem to get in touch with nobody. They give me a number I can?t contact until tomorrow and tell me ?I?m sorry Iunderstand? No you don?t understand and you are not sorry. I worked food and restaurant industry for Read more
Had a great experience at this Larry?s Giant Subs. The guy taking my order, wish I had his name, was super patient. I don?t... like ordering for other people and while I had to text and call to clarify the orders, he was very patient while taking theorder making sure nothing was ordered incorrectly. Very nice staff overall. Pretty quick to get the food and I went at noon onweekday. Ordered ?New Yorker?, ?The Italian Big One?, and ?The Killer?. All were fantastic. Highly recommend warming the subs(even when they aren?t ?hot? subs). All were very filing. Read more
A medium sized sub is more than enough for me. Bring your appetite. They have home made pies here that are modestly-priced and... taste as good as anything in most restaurants. Read more
?Manager? is a dweeb kid, waited 30 minutes for a sub yesterday. Clearly these kids forgot about us in the drive through, could... see them on phones and making tik toks. All 4 of them kept there backs turned towards us. After WE open drive thru window toremind them they have 1 customer to take care of they acted like we were a burden to the hang out sesh. They then begin makingour sandwich, and this kid wearing 3 fake gold chain looking straight out of a gum ball machine says ?sorry dude? when handingit over. Already upset because we were the only ones in line, my boyfriend was now late for work. Called today asking for arefund, and the ?manager? hung up on him after saying they didn?t make any mistakes, and claiming no one ordered just onesandwich yesterday. ?You got your food anyways.? Absolute buffoonery. I pray no ?Larry?s giant subs owner? comments back to thisreview because there is no salvaging this interaction, the kid you let ?manage? this location threw away an extremely loyalcustomer. All for his ego? For a joke? Why hang up on an upset guest? Pls hire a manger that?s gone through puberty next time, thank you. Read more
